I Have Learned To Do It.
This came about in an odd way. I had no inspiration whatsoever; I did not think about it, but simply let it flow from my mind to the page.

Jennie leaned back in her bed and sighed. So many questions were running through her head. What does Freddie know? What does my mom know? Why is Catherine so insistent on my being dead?
She knew that if she dwelled on these questions, she'd age about fifty years. So, she just sat and waited, knowing full well she would not sleep tonight.

Freddie walked out of Jennie's room and down the hall. It was cold, but he didn't notice. Freddie was always cold. He had stopped shivering in the night long ago.
I was thrilled when my parents came home on my fifteenth birthday and announced that they had brought home a surprise. I had known what I wanted all summer and now the moment was finally here! Could it be? Yes! My parents opened up the box and my wishes were fulfilled at last. My own, brand new, guitar.
The creature was so cute! It was a new born, too, so it couldn’t stand up on its own. It was the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen! Her eyes looked like slits. I guessed that was due to the fact that she was only a few weeks old.

Chapter the Third
The quill pen shook in Elvina’s hand, partly from anxiety, partly from excitement.
Dear Mother and Father,
You know I am not like Gwindreth. I love her beyond the world’s end, but we are very different. You know me- I do not jump to conclusions or pursue crazy whims. I do not remember ever acting on an impulse without deliberate forethought and careful planning. Based on this, which you know full well to be true of my character, please trust me and try to understand that I did not leave for any reason less than the best.
Here's a short piece I wrote in about five minutes when I was really supposed to be writing something else... Long story. Anyway, laugh it up, you know, ha-ha....
**Dedicated to my dear friends Elizabeth, Stephanie, and Bernadette, and all our Strange Shows...... <3 **
"LaaaaaLALALALAlaaaaaLAAAAAAlaaaaaaaa!!!!!" screeched the plastic badminton birdie. He sat on his perch in the tree, looking down at his audience expectantly. They stared back, holding their ears. "Well?" the birdie asked. "Am I your new star?"
The boy and the girl stared blankly back.
(Note to any of my readers: I'm very very VERY sorry for the long wait! I would ramble about how busy I am, but that would take up the time in which you could be reading what I have taken far too long in writing. It is not long, but I hope it'll be a sufficient peace-offering to make up for the long wait. =P)
Silently, they turned and shuffled out of Rindor’s sitting room, neither venturing or wanting to look at the other.

**Hey everyone! I feel kinda weird posting some fantasy after so many wonderful, dramatic, deep pieces that have been posted on apricotpie lately, but I'd really like to know what you guys think of this...it doesn't really make sense right now, but I think it will after I post the first chapter. Btw, the book is NOT about the animal called a seahawk. Or a tree. :D These are just symbols. :) Enjoy.**
