Okay, no joke, this is a true story. It starts like this, picture it.
I settle down in my room with a sigh, my back up against my bed, and my eyes roving the outside world through my open window to watch the fading twilight. Ah, it is my favorite time of day. I lay my head back onto the bed. Finally, a break.

Prayer of a Broken Heart

My heart aches for you.

Breaks for you.

Tears itself apart for you.

Even when I know

I cannot have you

My heart puts on a show.

It's the main attraction

While I am just its tool.

It constantly harrasses me.

Reminding me I am a fool.

I'm a fool since I fell for you.

A fool to make myself blind.

Now, no matter what I do

I cannot break out of this bind.

Lord, help me, please.

I was too blind to see

That right now, Your love

And so we stood on higher ground.

What is this world?
What is man but a monster?
Though we are perceived as sinners and saints in our own rights.
Is it not destruction that is our master?
Do we not bow down to its every whim?
Fault is found in the most noble of desires,
For even those are done with a crooked mind.
Each of our own is born with the intention to kill.
We massacre , leaving no room for sympathy.
Taking absolute pleasure in others misfortune
As our lives hang by a loose thread.
Can you see a savior in the far distance?

When I first read Red, I thought it was really good, but found the character Justin confusing. His teachings of peace with the Scabs seemed heretical, while I sensed hypocrisy in the Great Romance.

But one scene changed that. It was the closest I’ve ever come to unity with a fictional character. My eyes sprang ahead…
