They ran at a back braking pace. "Keanoko is to fast for me to catch up with. Oh well." Kryztan noticed. " It was a good life, working our masks off, worrying if Gorast would come and kill us, or not." Kryztan tripped on a stick a went sprawling. He looked back. He saw their attackers hurrying though the trees. They were two big, horrifying...matoran. "Keanoko!!!" He called. No answer. He ran after him. Keanoko was standing on the edge of a 35 foot water fall. "Oh, I ever-hate water." He lamented. (A common trait between Le-things.) "But, no choice." He Jumped.

Aslan's Side

In The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis, Puddleglum the Marshwiggle makes an interesting statement.

The Lady of the Green Kirtle was trying to convince Puddleglum that there was no Narnia, no Aslan...telling him there was nothing worth being great or good for. She told him he ought to forget it all and just...sleep. She tells Puddleglum and his friends they have only dreamed and made up stories about Narnia and Aslan. Soon...they come to believe her.

Summer Dawn

The birds start a-singing As the warm sun glows And the trees start a-leaning  As the wind does blow And the grass starts a-glowing As the gold finch flutters And the bushes start a-beaming As the gray shadows dance And the flowers start a-blooming As the deer leaves its rest And the leaves start a-sparkling  As the sun is looking down And the clouds start a-gathering As the dew is fare welling And the morning starts a-coming As the summer sings dawn

The Captain of Chi Lung - part one

Preface: Hey, guys. Just a word of explanation here.

On the same forums where the Ander story was started, a friend challanged me to write a retelling of the story of Repunzel. So...I did. I'm not completely happy with it, but it turned out pretty good, and I thought I'd post it here, a bit at a time. Any advice you have one making it better would be welcome.

It's set in an ancient-Chinese-type-world (I had just finished watching "Mulan", it was in my head...) and I have to admit that I strayed from the old story a good bit. For one thing, the hair never even made it in.

Flashbacks (2)

Bridget stepped up to the scaffold.  She couldn’t even think straight.  She didn’t know why she was being executed.  Her head was down and her hair partly covered her face.  Out in the sea of faces before her, she saw Jordan and Kevin.  They didn’t even see her.  She looked farther.  There was her dad.  He was looking at her and laughing.  Fury surged up in her and she threw her hair back and looked him straight in the eyes.  He stopped laughing.  She looked back at her friends.  They were staring at her now in horror.  Then she woke up.

Procrastinator

*This little ditty is quite short (I thought of only one verse, alas) and VERY random.... Yet also very true, sadly. :)*

I'm a procrastinator,
I need a savior
I can't control this behavior
You say do it now,
I say it'll wait until later
I am a procrastinator!
