Submitted by Kyleigh on Mon, 04/11/2011 - 17:57

{this is the second-to-last installment of "Leviticus." The final one is a poem... to come... sometime. It's written now but we've been really busy lately with Irish dance and orchestra and hospitality and school}

Leviticus 23-27. 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1.

A Tidbit

Submitted by Raine on Sun, 04/10/2011 - 20:37

Things I never thought I'd miss

stay with me overnight

though I dismiss

them like a kite

stuck in a tree

far above the street

where I used to be

at home, alone

I think I have no known

place of my own

See Life

Submitted by Arya Animarus on Sun, 04/10/2011 - 08:22

Happiness, sadness,

Joy and sorrow,

This is the world in which we live.

Dreams, hopes,

Loves, hates,

This is the world we live in.

See...

What we were meant to be.

Look...

At what we have seen.

Life...

Colors, scents,

On the breeze,

Wind is blowing

Through the trees.

This is what I was born to know,

And, oh how I love it so.

See...

What we were meant to be.

Look...

At what we have seen.

Life...

Angels Among Us

Note: As promised to HomeschoolGirl and Kassady, I am uploading some more poems. This is a few years old, but this poem won honorable mention in a poetry contest. It was written and dedicated to my grandfather before he passed away. Enjoy!

To each of us does God assign,

A glorious being of His design.

To whisper advice into our ears,

And pacify our endless fears.

The Ideal Husband Quiz

You probably saw the title of this one and said, "What's she done this time?" But seriously, did you ever wonder which of the great heroes of your favorite period dramas would be perfect for you? W-e-l-l... here you go!

It might be important to say:

NO PEEKING! If you do peek, then a band of tea gnomes will come and beat the living daylights out of your goldfish.

Public School, Socialiaztion, and other topics of interest

Submitted by Madeline on Fri, 04/08/2011 - 19:29

One question that I do not like is when people ask, "How do you socialize?"

How? The same way adults that work from home and toddlers and everyone who's not in public school socializes--by meeting people and forming REAL friendships. Will I know the names of the ones I met in public school five years from now? Maybe. But will I remeber our conversations, the games we played...no. I hardly do now. Because they weren't REAL friends. And I think homeschooling gives you an opportunity to make those real friends.

Pray

**The idea for this came to me a few days ago, so I sat down and wrote it! Hope you enjoy!

Kneeling down beside her bed

She bends her head in prayer

Black hair straight as silk

Quivers from His stare

"Father, please lead me,

In the coming months.

This place is new and foriegn.

But in you my heart trusts."

Skin as dark as night

Hands pressed firm together

She shines her face heavenbound

And makes a wish forever

"God, please understand.

~Hear ye, hear ye ...if you're happy I'm back, thank Kassady. I'd pretty much let this story be forgotten until her comment on the last section...~

Rynere didn't wake up until midday. And that was only because she heard crying.

She pulled herself to a sitting position and forced open her still-tired eyes. Tace was standing in the doorway, supporting on his arm the source of the tears -Sylver.

Tace grinned at Rynere's look of surprise.

"She ran away. Not something I condone, but she was lost and a bit frightened."

The Friendship of Three- chapter one

Submitted by Kassady on Wed, 04/06/2011 - 23:48

Preface

This story is based on my Two best friends and me in ten years! My inspriation was us, and my best friend HomeschoolGirl started her own (The Three), then I built mine a little after hers, trying the best I could to make it different! But hers is amazing! Much better I must say. Hopefully my other friend Liddyanne, will write her own version! Then we'll have three different versions!

I hope you enjoy!
