Life's Portrait
I'm sorry I didn't post sooner. I've had quite a bit going on, so I wasn't able to write as much as I wanted to. Not only that, but I'm a bit of a procrastinator... Anyways, I've also changed a few things in the first chapter, because I realized there were a few inconsistencies. I hope ya'll enjoy this chapter, and hopefully the next will be out sooner than this one was :) If anyone has suggestions, criticism, or whatever, please tell me. Anything to improve!
Chapter Two
Terram's Assignment
riding a cloud, unconventional,
flying out loud, interdimensional,
run, jump, fly, come along for the ride.
I'm gonna see you on the flipside.
(chorus)
dancing in the fourth dimension,
step sideways between the particals,
there's no rain in zero gravity,
lost in thought, lost on the flipside.
alien ship, extraterrestrial,
major head trip, super fantastical,
laugh, cry, sing and spread your wings,
how off earth do you steer this thing.
(chorus)
dancing in the fourth dimension,
If the world was seen through an emerald eye
Stained-glassed windows all aspire
If heart was wood of cord and pine
Billowing willows on the moor
If words would fail bitter darts
The gulls long wailing in the morn
If the world was seen through an emerald eye
Glass-stained doors all awry
random creative writing assignment I had--Write a paragraph of a childhood memory. It's kinda mehh.. this is my first draft. Enjoy ::)~~~
AHH! I haven't been on here in WAY too long and I can see I've missed a lot. There's so much to catch up on here! One day when I have time I'll just sit down and read for an hour or two. In the meantime, here's an essay I wrote for the British Literature course I'm doing in school. I enjoyed writing it because come on, how often do I get to write a school paper on one of my favorite plays? I thought you all might like it and I'd love to hear your opinions on the subject.
However Tace defined 'a mile or so', it was definitely more. Kyndran was absolutely certain Tace had given them wrong directions on purpose, and that they really should have headed in the opposite direction. Rynere, however, refused to listen to him until the sun began to go down and there was still no sign of the house.
I will not close my eyes. I will not sleep, Nor will I dream. For the cold sweat chills me, The clenched fists, Blood curling screams. They are my own. I know not why They choose to visit now, But I must escape it— This sleeping hell. I will escape somehow.
I wrote this for an American Literature class a while back. I was feeling guilty for not posting anything (I'll get back to Robin and Marian soon, I promise!!!) so I thought I'd let you have this to enjoy. :)
Fade into the crowd, stay out of sight, got to lay low in the nightmare
release your fears, wipe your tears, look to some one who won't disappear.
The secrets you hide, don't keep them inside, let them go-rethink your alibi
shadows grow, night comes slowly, don't try to guess-stick with what you know.
(Chorus) wake up, get up, stand up, think up, dream up, living in a world of the simplified nothing.
Open your eyes, pull on the disguise, the number of failures matches the tries.
