Note: As promised to HomeschoolGirl and Kassady, I am uploading some more poems. This is a few years old, but this poem won honorable mention in a poetry contest. It was written and dedicated to my grandfather before he passed away. Enjoy!

To each of us does God assign,

A glorious being of His design.

To whisper advice into our ears,

And pacify our endless fears.

They all are sent from up above,

To exemplify God’s eternal love.

Faithful companions, ever by our side,

Always present to guard and to guide.

Some appear with a message to give,

To strengthen our faith for as long as we live,

With words of comfort and sometimes you’ll see,

Joyful tidings proclaimed with glee.

One may be sent by God’s bequest,

Unknown to us, a divine guest.

To encourage us to open our heart,

And grant us peace when they depart.

A stranger that you walked right by,

Could be a minister to the One Most High.

A girl down the street or a man on the bus,

Could possibly be an angel among us.
