Random Story

SO, TODAY MY DAD WAS GOING THROUGH SOME FILES ON OUR OLD COMPUTER, AND HE FOUND A DOCUMENT OF MINE. IT WAS A STORY I WROTE A FEW YEARS BACK (OR RATHER, STARTED TO WRITE). I DON'T REMEBER MUCH ABOUT IT, AND IT WASN'T UNTIL I READ IT THROUGH THAT I REMEMBERED IT AT ALL. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO WITH IT, BUT I THINK I COULD COME UP WITH A PLOT TO WORK WITH IT. SO... I'M GOING TO POST THE TWO CHAPTERS THAT I HAVE ONE HERE. PLEASE READ THEM OVER, TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK, AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU THINK I SHOULD START WRITING IT AGAIN.

I'm always happy to receive feedback about this story. It's one of the bigger projects that I've undertaken in my writing life, and I'm so happy to be sharing it on here! Any comments here or on my blog (www.charlieandmewrite.blogspot.com) would be most appreciated! :D

She knew just how she was going to tell him. She was going to look him straight in the eye and say, 'Doctor, you will never see me again.'

No no... that's not going to work, Millie thought as she walked home from work.

Thank you, James!!

A Dream is Just a Dream...or is it? Chapter Eleven (a Narnian fan fiction)

Submitted by Lucy Anne on Fri, 05/25/2012 - 14:34

“Susan, there are some things I want to talk to you about,” I said to her, a few hours after the scare. “Let’s take a walk.”
“Alright.”
I laughed comfortingly, noticing that she looked at me with slight uneasiness; probably trying to decide how to prepare herself for some news that she had no inkling what it was going to be about. “Oh, don’t worry; it isn’t anything serious enough to change anything drastically!”
She sighed with relief.
As we walked together, we studied the trees and sky.

My Big Brother: IV

“Why can't I know?” I got to my feet.
“In the possibility that you are kidnapped, sir -”
“I have been kidnapped!”
“-we don't want them taking information.”
“Are you suggesting that I would betray you?”
“No, sir.”
“Then what are you worried about? And stop calling me 'sir'!”
“Involuntary provision of information.”
“Torture.” Really? “What about him?” I pointed to Nick. “He could withstand torture?”
“No.”

First Snowfall

Submitted by Lea Grace on Tue, 05/22/2012 - 21:32

Ugggggggghhhhhh! I wake up to the sound of my radio-alarm clock. The song that plays reminds me of the comforting dream I had the night before. Still lying on my back I look out my window. It has been raining all night. I see the streaks of the rain. It looks very pretty. But what is that blob to the side? It could be a leaf. I listen to the next song and realize that the blob is not a leaf. It is a snowflake. I knew that there was a possibility for a mix of snow and rain tonight. The snow has probably been washed away but I look out my streaked window anyway.

Rapunzel in Bible Style, chap. 3

Submitted by Sarah Anne on Tue, 05/22/2012 - 12:05

Chapter Three

1. And in the morning, the prince came nigh again unto the tower.

2. And he spotted the woman climbing up Rapunzels hair.

3. And when she was gone away again, the prince came upon the tower and called up unto Rapunzel that which the woman had said.

4. And Rapunzel looked out, and spotted him, and asked him whom he might be and whence he came.

5. And he answered her thus, "I am the son of Aurora and Ramashad, an Israelite prince."

6. And Rapunzel put down her hair for, was it not the prince? And he did climb up.

Magic (or Heroes: Part 2)

The battle field lies on a barren, rocky plain. Before my army lies the menacing Black Gate. Orcs and evil men pour through it. Should they survive the shower of arrows from my archers, swords men cut them down. The great wizard Gandalf the White stands at the front, along with Aragorn, king of Gondor, Gimlie the dwarf, Legolas the elf, Marry and Pippen of the Shire, Captain Faramir, and the King of Rohon, Eomer. They fell orc after orc, but Mordor is empting, and they face and army tens of ten thousand strong.
