The Rest of Our Lives

Day we met
'Why, hello there.' 'Hello.'
I knew you were it
And I didn't need anything else
Because you made me love you

You made me wait
With the girls for our first date
Said you'd bring them some friends
'Is he not going to show?' 'Of course he will, hon.'
Dana rubbed my arm
And just like that you strode in
With flowers for us all

Whirlwind romance
Married only a month later
Got down on your knee
'Would you-' 'YES!'
And slid a ring onto my finger
It dazzled so beautifully

A/N: Okay, I know that the timeline is a bit messed up. Hope you guys don’t mind. This chapter covers a lot of stuff. I sure will miss this story when it’s done. And if my characters behave, it looks like this story is almost done. Any phrases or lines that might have been taken from C.S. Lewis’ are C.S. Lewis’.

Crucifixion: IV. Bitter Weeping

Submitted by Kyleigh on Fri, 06/01/2012 - 13:45

Outside, see Peter by the fire,
‘Do you know Him?’ they inquire
The rooster crows; people ask again
This time with curses Peter denies him.

The cock crows the second time;
The Lord looks to Peter who remembers the sign.
The Word of the Lord he had kept -
And he went out and bitterly wept.

The Man for whom he left all he owned –
It seemed this Messiah had been dethroned.
In fear and disgrace, His disciple cried –
For what would he do when his Master had died?

Four Thousand Five Hundred Forty Nine Days

Four Thousand Five Hundred Forty Nine 4 Thousand 5 Hundred 49 4549 days Such a long time and I have a hard time remembering. Of course, I do have memories, and fond ones at that. But I have a hard time remembering what it feels like. What it was like for the first 650 weeks of my life. I remember that it was care free. I didn’t have any long term worries. I remember once, when I was six and we went sledding for P.E. I can’t help but smile. 393,088,680 seconds. How precious each one was. For about 2.5 years, I didn’t have many friends. I was lonely.

Random Story. Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2 ******************************************************** “The earth and everything else was created when two atoms collided to create what we now call the big bang…” Gwen tuned Professor Morris out. Not that she didn’t want to learn but who could believe something as corny as that? She had once asked one of the professors at the college to explain the big bang theory a little better to her. He had told her that out of nothing there came two atoms that collided to make the big bang. So where did the atoms come from? They never answered.
