I am a girl who absolutely adores Jesus, skiing, stargazing, writing, reading, and playing piano.

I was raised in a Christian home (Thanks Mom and Dad!) so I knew Jesus from a pretty young age. The past few years I have really gotten to know more about him, and I really want to get to know him more than what I already have. I'm thankful for my youth group and what they have taught me so far, and for treating me like a member of a family.

I've been skiing since I was four (Thanks Daddy!) and I completely fell in love with it when I was eleven. I love the cold wind in my face, the feeling of flying under my feet, and the majesty of the mountains (When I'm lucky enough to ski there) For me skiing is a way of feeling that God wants me to be happy.

I started stargazing in September 2011, but I have always been fascinated by the stars. I remember sleeping outside at camp one year and looking at the stars all around me and wishing that I knew their names. When I was 13, I got a start chart for my birthday and from there I taught myself the constellations. My favorites are Cassiopeia, Lyra, and Pleiades.

I started writing last year as part of a seventh grade poetry project. Before then my teachers said that I wrote well, but I didn't think much of it until then. For my project I started writing a whole bunch of extra poems because I was hooked on it. I've started up again now and am really enjoying it. Most of my poems relate to my faith walk or lessons that I have learned. My favorite poem is "Though Night Be Dark" by Lillian Dirksen.

I've been reading for as long as I can remember. When I was little I always went to the bookshelf and started turning pages of books, even though I couldn't read. I enjoy reading Fantasy, Realistic Fiction, and Christian Novels. My favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, Frank Peretti, and Kenneth Oppel. My favorite books were written by them of course (Chronicles of Narnia, C.S. Lewis; Phrophet & Darkness series, Frank Peretti, and Airborn Trilogy, Kenneth Oppel).

When it comes to piano, I'm not the most talented musician, and it takes a really long time for me to learn a song. But when I get it down I adore playing because A) It sounds pretty sweet and B) I love the way my fingers move. Plus my teacher is hilarious and her dog, Lucy, sings when we play well.

Oh. My favorite candies are Milky Ways, Three Musketeers, Gummy Worms (not the sour kind), Skittles, and Reese's Pieces. I have a weakness for monster cookies and brownies. :)

These are my main enjoyments in life. I can be very random at times, especially with my friends, so don't be surprised if I write something funny.
