Flutter and Stutter

Submitted by Hannah on Thu, 03/10/2011 - 08:52

If one could die from a smile

then I am in the grave

and if a heart can stop from a glance

oh, mine is not so brave

if just a smile can make this girl weak at the knees

how shall I stand a kiss?

I won't I suppose, no matter my pleas

my legs shall indeed collapse

and why if he's mine

does his glance make my heart flutter

I know he is indeed

but my heart still starts to stutter

his smile makes my cheeks flame still

and I can't stop myself from smiling at him

Whisper Those Words

Submitted by kit-kat on Wed, 03/09/2011 - 18:58

Hold me here and whisper forever
“I love you” and dear, tell me you'll never
Wish for another when we’re together,
Or want for anyone but me.
Offer a kiss; if I decline, don’t steal it.
Promise me this, you and I won’t ever quit.
Tell me, my dear, that I am worth it.
Please whisper those words to me.

Life, part III

Submitted by Mairead on Wed, 03/09/2011 - 02:54

Weeks passed and the daily routine became monotonous and I would try to come up with new and interesting things to do to pass the time. I noticed that the napkin rack was a jumbled mess and something had to be done with it. I could enjoy doing it too. Kenny told me I could fix it up if I wanted, so I set about my work.

Pale like me

Tell me if

you’re pale like me

inside,

staring at those

empty walls

that dusty room

trying to paint them

brilliant azure,

as it all melts

away,

like chalk scribbles

on cement.

The rain

rushes down

Winter cold

Submitted by Maks on Mon, 03/07/2011 - 16:33

The night is cold and foggy,
the wind is playing a beautiful symphony
innocent snowflakes dance in circles
they all look like players from a circus
Coldness wraps itself around me
like a lover, afraid of letting me,
I struggle against it, no longer free
Not a love game, but a painful nightmare
Soon I am defeated, locked in a cold embrace
A warm smile forms on my lips
as the flow of life slowly leaves me
and I enter the world of eternal beauty.

Tass -Pt. 35

We'll take care of the rest.

What was that supposed to mean?

Rynere went back to her blanket by the fire as Kace entered the kitchen to prepare something Rynere hoped was edible. Kyndran was stirring, but Danid was as unconscious as he had been the night before.

"Where's that guide of yours?"

Rynere looked over at Kyndran. He was sitting up.

"You mean Tace?"

"Well, the other one is dead, isn't he?"

Rynere didn't answer for several seconds. How could he -how could he say that so flippantly? Tass -dead -
