Geese

water ripples

birds touch down

wide-spread wings

skim the surface

crying to one another

they settle on the lake

one leg of their journey over

another just ahead

it matters not how long the road

or how cold the wind blows

they continue on

to the call of the south

as they must

Leviticus: III. Unclean

Part 1: Diagnosis

Amid the sunshine, breezy air, and chirping birds, I sat glumly. Normally a winter day like this would have brought joy to my heart. But today I wondered if I could ever be joyful again. I drove another nail into the cart. My papa had been to the priest today, to be examined. He had found a sore on his arm that morning, of the kind that could make him unclean. The priest had declared him ceremonially unclean. Papa was sent outside the camp. I did not know if I would ever see him again.

End of the Opera

END OF THE OPERA

Charles crouched over Diana, holding her limp in his arms.

Another explosion erupted behind him, and crouched more over her, feeling the heat wave and pieces of concrete spattering off of him.

His scarlet overcoat smoked as the heat settled, and he looked down at her face.

It was pale, her eyelids shut. Her lips were limp and she had a peace about her face. A moment before she was in agony from the bullet-wound. Now she was as calm as if she were merely sleeping.

Green Eyes

Large green eyes

Listen as the wind

Tells a time-old tale

With messages to send

Large green eyes

Blink as it blows

Deep into the irises

That see but never know

Large green eyes

Take in the truth

As they see the lies

Deep inside of you

Large green eyes

Water and cascade

Shedding all the trust

In a water-works parade

Large green eyes

Glare from all the fall

Hesitate for a moment

The toss away it all

I've been absent...

Hello!

I've been pretty absent from AP for awhile, besides the occasional drop-in and comment. Kassady created another great site that I have been pretty busy with! BUT, alas! I'll be back on more often now, and make faces at the computer when I run out of posts, and wait longingly for the next chapters of all the wonderful stories I read...and cheer when users announce new books or sequels or anything even a bit exciting. ;)

Tass -Pt. 33

Fifteen minutes later, with Tace carrying Danid and Kyndran carrying all the packs, the little group arrived at a run-down house set in a clump of trees.

Tace motioned for Rynere to knock on the door, and she did so. It was opened instantly, and a head poked out.

"Tace!" the door opened wider. "Come right in, sir! What brings you here?"

Tace led the way indoors.

Time machine.

Immersed...

Oblivious to all around me.

Captivated by my story.

Wandering...

Lost in pages of memories.

Reading, seeing, reliving moments.

I'm running away from my future.

I'm fleeing back into my past.

I'm trying to get back my memories

That I took for granted before.

Back into the past I missed.

Even before I was born.

Seeing things and people who were lost before.

Now I hold te key in my hands.

Back into the past that was.

What I missed before.
