Chapter Two
After enjoying my breakfast, I hurried to my room complete my homework. Before I knew it, I heard my mother calling me from the kitchen, “Anne, it’s time for lunch! Please come to the kitchen!”
“Alright mom, I’m coming!” I called, hurriedly trying to finish my last math problem.
Better for me to simply say
my very favorite color's gray.
Instead, I tried to explain
how it's the color of winter and wonder and rain.
And how can I complain?
Sparrows wake me every day
and every night I hear the trains
pulling, pulling, pull away.
I hear the thunder slowly fade.
I grew up in a leafless shade.
So many things I try to say;
I throw my words, they ricochet.
I've been reading a lot of poetry lately, so I figured I'd give it a try. Here are the results--let me know what you think! :)

Chapter Two
1. And Cinderella worked diligently. And inquired of Abigail if she might go to the ball, too.
2. And Abigail sought for an answer. And Myra delivered one unto her, and said, shall a scullery maid go to the ball? Yea, even Cinderella? Nay, but she shall have more work to do and then she cannot go.
3. And Abigail thought on these things, and, lo, she decided upon this thing.
Sorry for those of you who are reading Unsortable--there are a few more chapters that I need to post, but I'll probably have to wait until next week to do it! :)
I'm trying out some new poems after reading After the Kiss (amazing) by Terra Elan McVoy. It was such a great book, and I loved the poetry style.
So, here goes nothing.

Perhaps if I were
Easier to see
To touch
To know
Then I would have friends
Perhaps if I were
Nicer to you
To them
To him
Then I would not stand alone
Perhaps if I were
A bit prettier

Kamber held Jovlin’s hand as he led her down the dark passage. Her hands were warm, and damp with sweat. He tripped on a loose stone and caught himself on the wall, but found himself wishing for a light to guide their way.
“That was a nifty trick you pulled back there.” Jovlin called
“You had best keep your voice down; these walls aren’t as thick as they appear.” Kamber replied
“Oh, right.” She whispered “You could have at least given me some warning.”
I surrender, to obey,
Everything He says, day by day.
I surrender, all my sin,
So I will win, to please Him.
I will try to no longer fall,
I answer His call,
I surrender all.
