Overlords part 7

Gethin had departed from all remnants of civilization. He trudged through the snow and he could feel it bite his face. He was in Sormar, land of ice. He looked only for a cave to rest the night. Nothing more, or less.
Then he saw her. It was a girl, barely alive, with light, sandy hair. Her eyes were shut, and she was thinly clad, and very small. Small enough that he could carry her, so he did.

Lady Moon

Submitted by little woman on Mon, 11/14/2011 - 00:41

She moves across the sky,

silken sails billowing with light

          bright ivory next to midnight.

Stars all around,

dancing though the dark

life radiating from each little spark.

Mysteries revealed,

if just for a while

hiding within the Moon's secret smile.

Calm

(A/N - My interpretation of the stillness right before the clouds drop everything they're carrying.)

The calm before the storm:

quietly frightening,

innately peaceful;

unsung power emanating throught the air.

The buzz of life stops,

the hum of labor ceases,

all is still -

waiting.

Give Me the Faith

Submitted by Wings of Eternity on Fri, 11/11/2011 - 05:55

Give me the faith,

The faith to believe,

That the more that I give,

The more I’ll receive.

Give me the faith,

The faith to understand,

That every single moment,

You hold in Your hand.

Give me the faith,

The faith to be strong,

To believe in Your promises,

when all appears wrong.

Give me the faith,

The faith to cope,

It's Not That Simple ((Epilogue))

First and foremost, let me thank each and everyone one of you who has ever read a chapter of "It's Not That Simple". It means so much to me! And those who have stuck with the story? Pssh! Bless you! LOL! I can't say anything else but that. Let's see, now. I've killed off several characters, had a creep-o kiss a 16-year-old girl, had several battle scenes, including weapons of the gun-ly kind, and basically made a twisted tale of woe and lost love. :P How do you deal with me? Once again, Bless you! LOL!

How Can I Console You?

Submitted by Clare Marie on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 23:54

“O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console…”  -St. Francis of Assisi

-

Sometimes

loneliness

fills my heart, where You should be.

Why can’t I feel

You?

Heartbreak

is just a daily duty

which I can’t

overcome –

alone.

These days my only consolation

is thought after thought

of You.

These days

my constant isolation

is warmed by constant thoughts

of my Lamb’s blood –

sweat.

Agony

Undaunted

 Picking myself up,

one more time

I'm trying,

to see through tears

once more, is my light dying?

I've surrendered

all that I know how,

can You just answer

and hold my heart?

It's been full and heavy

I want You

to renew it

into what will reflect Yours.

My littleness

is breaking

my humanity overtaking.

Will You set this right?

I'm asking for You to fight the fight.

When burdens are heavy

When pathways are dark
