Give Me the Faith

Give me the faith,

The faith to believe,

That the more that I give,

The more I’ll receive.

 

Give me the faith,

The faith to understand,

That every single moment,

You hold in Your hand.

 

Give me the faith,

The faith to be strong,

To believe in Your promises,

when all appears wrong.

 

Give me the faith,

The faith to cope,

That in the darkest times,

I will still have hope.

 

Give me the faith,

The faith to act,

and to not be afraid,

of how others react.

 

Give me the faith,

The faith to trust,

To honor Your Will,

and go where I must.

 

Give me the faith,

The faith to know,

That no matter what,

You will never let me go.

I haven't seen you on here in the LONGEST time. Missed your poetry! But this was worth the wait--lovely job! It was descriptive, it flowed well, and it was just very well done. Enjoyed it a ton! Great job! :D

I know it has seemed like FOREVER since I have been on AP. It is really good to be back :)  I am sorry that I have been absent for so long. I have been extremely busy with college. Since I want to teach, I have been spending all of my free time tutoring and running a study group for one of my classes. It is a blast, but I really missed writing! I hope to try to put some more new stuff up soon. I'll try not to let my absence drag out so long again! Thanks for the welcome back and I'm glad you like the poem! This one was simple, but it was birthed from a prayer I prayed not to long ago while asking God to grant me more faith like He promises He would do if I asked Him in the Spirit. Hopefully I will write some other poetry soon and thanks for sticking by and being such a faithful reader!
