A surprise for y'all (but especially for me!)

Submitted by Bridget on Tue, 12/31/2013 - 05:16

So, ladies and gentlemen, I have a story for you. My darling, the love of my life, flew up today to stay for a week and while he was here, he asked me to marry him. I feel absolutely spoiled, and I'm so happy!! He is the sweetest, goofiest, most perfect guy I've ever known, and I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
Anyway, I am just bubbling over right now, and I wanted to share this with everyone!
Much love,
Bridget

The History of Ithton

Although the lands of Malto were only three continents, one had not yet been discovered. The one known to all is Miir, at the time things were rough. Tasland, Reyiposh, Brictoni, and Froltsen were at a long and sad war. Quoten Busiey did a very good job of staying out of the war; they were more of a peace going country.

Waiting For You

Submitted by Susannah on Mon, 12/30/2013 - 03:08

I’m waiting for you,
You told me you’d come.
And I’ll keep on waiting
‘Til this world is gone.

I’m waiting for you,
In this cold, dark place.
Hoping by chance
I will see your bright face.

I’m waiting for you,
Though the hours grow long.
But I must keep waiting
And singing this song.

I’m waiting for you,
My head in my hands.
It’s sure getting harder
I don’t understand.

I’m crying so quietly,
Thinking of you.
And I feel the pain
As my heart breaks in two.

Christmas Day Thoughts

Submitted by Lucy Anne on Wed, 12/25/2013 - 19:07

We’ve been brainwashed. With all the frenzy crazy gift wrapping and gift giving, the feastings and the parties, and just the season itself. We’ve been brainwashed with what Christmas is really all about.

I don’t know how all of you celebrate Christmas, but for me, every year my family on my mom’s side has a dinner at my family’s home. Sometimes both of our uncles would make it, and Grandma would arrive with dozens of the many dishes she had made. My mom always roasted pineapple ham and baked sweet potatoes. And then, after dinner and dishes, we would open the presents.

The Holt Children and the Hidden Treasure: Book One (Chapter 6; Pams Dream)

Chapter 6 PAMS DREAM That night, as Pam lay asleep in bed, she had a dream. She dreamed that she was standing in front of the man who had been reading the stolen newspaper. He was sitting on the same bench, reading the same newspaper. All of a sudden, the person changed. This time it was Mr. Clark. He sat on the bench, reading the newspaper. Then, all of a sudden, his beard fell off. He looked like the man she had seen reading the papers that day. Pam awoke with a start. She was in her bed, and it was still dark outside. She tried to go back to sleep, but wasn't tired.

Christmas musing

Submitted by Madeline on Mon, 12/23/2013 - 13:10

This time last year on Christmas I posted a short, little rambling thing about socks and computers. I think. The year before I wrote a "heartwarming" story about a girl whose boyfriend dies in a war or something. I don't know. My fourteen-year-old mind summed that up as a perfect Christmas sob story. I mean, what's not to love/cry over?

But anyway. I won't get into that.

The Spoiled Kid

I have no idea when I wrote this. I don't even remember writing it, but hey. So when I read it, I was doing my best not to laugh, because just yesterday (12/21/13) I went ice-skating for the first time in my life, and so if you've been ice-skating before, then you probably know what it's like...so anyways, my stomach mussels are aching (I'm sore all over) so it was very hard not to laugh at this story, because laughing makes my stomach ache. I never finished this story, so maybe one day I will, but right now this will do. I hope you like it :)
