That's Family for Ya'

So........what do you get when you cross a little sister that adores bossing people around, with two little brothers that resent people bossing them that aren’t Mother or Step-Father or Oldest Sister (me)?
I know exactly what you get: Absolute chaos. (when mom isn’t around.) See, little sister (Hannah) thinks it’s her God-given right to boss little brothers (Josh and Jon), but even she has enough sense not to do it when Mom’s around because Mom does not let Hannah boss the boys, when she’s around.
So here’s one such Mom’s-not-around-scene.

to live

To live is not just to exist.
It's so much more in-depth than that, so much more daring, so much more dangerous.
To live is to take a risk, a great and holy risk. And what do we risk?
Our lives.

The Three Warriors chapter 1 part 3 Hedera

Submitted by Godslittlegirltoo on Sat, 10/04/2008 - 17:57

"Huh,another day another pain," Hedera thought.
While looking out her window a tear started to welling up in her eye, started to roll down her cheek but she quickly wiped it away, she hadn't cried for years, why start now? She knew why
"Why didn't Mommy and Daddy say good-bye?" Hedera said, between cries.
"Their not coming back are they? Because they were dead and they went to heaven- just like Melodious said."
Frustrated she ran upstairs to her room, shut the door, got on her knees, and started to pray.

My Boy

Submitted by Taylor on Fri, 10/03/2008 - 21:12

I've always wanted to have a lot of kids. My mom courageously bore six of us, eight if you count the two that miscarried. I always try to remember them, too. Growing up with so many of us was like having my own little group of friends. That's not to say we didn't have real friends over. Hardly. But we grew up so emotionally close to each other that the need for outside friends was dampened. I honestly can't imagine having any fewer than eight kids, be they my own or adopted as my own. Six would be the bare minimum. Eight might just do it.

Wild Ideas of Mine

You know, I have always tried to telepathically communicate with animals, and I recently read a magizine article that says how you can get in tune enough with your horse, dog or cat for them to send you telepathic signals.
I was thinking, maybe I could write a book about that? I would love to know what y'all think.

oceanic postal service

Walking on packed sand
Alongside morning's tide
I spy some litter on the land
And, intending to throw it out,
Instead I find a bottle peeking out
Delivered over in night’s hand
I roll the bottle in my palms
Brushing off crusted shell and sand
To find a parchment crumpled
Confined within brown glass
A moment passes as I ponder this
Mysterious and romantic cache
A lovers letter? A cry for help?
Someone far away reaching out?
A treasure map, marked with X?
The answer to the riddle

There Is A Wind

Submitted by Timothy on Wed, 10/01/2008 - 01:40

There is a wind that whispers through the cold day and swirls through the colder night
There is a wind that comes from unknown places and hurries on into the haze
There is a wind that sighs with pleasure in the harvest fields and rattles happily in the treetops
There is a wind that carries falling leaves and drops them at your feet as you pass by
There is a wind that pierces fabric and dances with sharp steps on your warm skin
There is a wind that brings the smell of smoke mixed with spices in the brisk air
