Fey’ara couldn’t breathe, couldn’t move. “Is this it?” she thought. “No, it can’t be. I still had so much to do. Kroinasu… what about him? It’s so hot… Is this hell?” Suddenly something cool and wet touched her forehead.

Chapter the First

Eighteen years later

Eloa swam into the cave she and her mirree, her mother, had shared all those years ago. She looked at the jars of sea plants on the shelves and the tools carved of shell. They were just the way she remembered them, from that terrible day. So much had changed, yet so little.

Eloa asked herself again- Why? Why? Was it mischance? Was it planned? She knew the Maker planned everything, so it was a silly question.

But why had Seema, her mother, her confidante, her only family, had to die?

Show Me You Love Me

Submitted by Velocity on Sun, 06/28/2009 - 21:57

When you look at me you’re only seeing part of who I am,
When you say ‘you know me’ … think again
When you look me in the eyes and say ‘you love me’
Will your love really last?
When you say yes to that answer,
Do I feel like a load of my pain is gone or not?
Are you taking some of my stress, and making me smile?
Or telling me you know how I feel, but have you been through what I'm going through, or just saying it?
Are you loving me with your heart, the kind of love that lasts?

PortalDreamer Chronicles~Kirthanin~Chapter Four:Black Wolves

Submitted by Julie on Sat, 06/27/2009 - 21:20

Days passed. The Novaana and Otherworlders trained with weapons. Galadriel's previous experiance with the compound bow had not given her the muscles needed for the longbow. Dispite Ezra’s boast about becoming the best fighter, Trav could defeat him four times out of five because of her extra experience.

One morning, Galadriel awoke early. The Black Wolves were coming today. The excellant breakfast turned to ashes in her mouth. She left the hall early in search of the steward who was going to die. She couldn't save him, but maybe she could warn him.

Ode to Apricot

Submitted by I am Nate-Dude on Sat, 06/27/2009 - 03:30

I write this in loving memory of my first apricot pie.
It now sits in the pit of my stomach. (Or at lest it did.)
It tasted like a peach pie!
Anyway, this is to the tune of Edelweiss. (A-dill-Vise)

Apricot pie, apricot pie, I am happy to eat you!
Orange and mushy, sweet and gushy, I am happy to eat you.
Mush, and squish, may your filling flow, filling flow, all over!
Apricot pie, apricot pie, I am happy to eat you!

If you like this maybe it could be AP's new anthem! L.O.L.

Sorry it's so short!

Part 2:

Pain, wing, pain, arm, pain........Tifa only barely saw the Healer, Betta was her name, through her blurr of vision. Betta was gently tipping the herbal medicine, sheeratt root, down Tifa's unwilling throat. Tifa coughed and sputtered weakly as the medicine went down through her. She hated the feeling, it was like someone forcing a knife down your throat.

Part Three: The Island

Bridget ran until her legs collapsed under her.  The dolphin paused about twenty feet from the shore and waited until she caught her breath.  She was lying on the sand for about ten minutes.  She knew that she needed to start again when the dolphin started making soft dolphin squeals, but she was so tired.  “Just a little longer…” she murmured.
