Dance Me Down

Submitted by Bridget on Wed, 01/13/2010 - 03:18

It’s time to move.
Leave me alone, let me dance.
I’m not your girl, I’m not your friend.
You don’t have a chance.

I don’t have time for you.
Just let me breathe a minute.
The music is intoxicating;
Ten minutes will do it.

Dance me down
If you can.
Make it loud,
Make it fast.
Get it now?
I can dance
Dance me down.
Dance me down.

Can you do it?
Move, dance, live the beat.
Catch the irony.
Close your eyes, let yourself feel it.

Why LotR men are better than Twilight "hotties"

This is a note I posted on Facebook. I hope you like it, Twilight Haters and LotR lovers. :) ***************************************************** Before you start reading this note, be forewarned. Twilight fans or girls who have huge crushes on the Twilight "hotties", be prepared to loathe this trilogy of notes and wish they were never written. But can we be completely honest? Maybe it isn't just me.

Simon Brown character study

Submitted by Anna on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 22:04

-May contain spoilers-

Since I first saw it, I have liked the movie Nanny McPhee (2005), the character of Simon Brown (Thomas Sangster) in particular. But I have never tried to puzzle him out, for the simple reasons that 1) I’m not in the habit of doing organized character analysis, and 2) Nanny McPhee is a children’s movie. What more could there be than the surface?
But now that I’m floating there anyway, I’m going to see how far I can wade. Let’s take a look at the surface.

Majestic Nature

Whispers heard everywhere

The flowers swayed in the autumn breeze

The green grasses would bear the Sun's

Rays that made the morning dew drops glisten

The birds are chirping, do you hear them

Singing the early morning melody

Flying happily, oblivious to the lens that pointed

At the beauty of the place that is so free

The crackling of the leaves and twigs

And the soothing effect of the ocean breeze

Makes the world that's so big and crazy

**Ta DA!  First post of the new year! :D  Actually, I was hoping to post a chapter from one of my books, but as our computer is dead right now and waiting to be resurrected, I can't access my folder with all my writing in it; but hopefully that will be changed soon!  So I decided to just post a poem that I wrote, by hand, and still have on paper.  It's kind of one of those experimental-type poems, so any suggestions would be nice.  Enjoy!**
