Fableweaver; Chapter 2
Fableweaver
Background: MICHAEL and TIMOTHY are best friends and neighbors, and have been from childhood. We enter the scene as MICHAEL is digging in his garden, where he cultivates many prized vegetables. He is kneeling, with a trowel in one hand and a pickle in the other, a small post or table with a hand-bell on it beside him.
NARRATOR
It was a bright, sunny spring morning, and Michael was working in his garden.
MICHAEL
I am working in my garden!

So, I haven't posted on here in FOREVER--partly because I thought it was closing down, partly because I've been lazy, and partly because I'm in college now and HAVE NO TIME TO WRITE. I will finish Flyer, I promise (one of these days...) and will get it up here, but right now...I just don't have time.
However, I was feeling guilty because I'm supposed to be a monthly writer and I haven't written in ages, so I'm going to post this poem and a skit that I recently wrote for a drama class. Hope you enjoy, and please forgive the wait for the next part of Flyer.

Dear Homeschooling Friends,
Where do I begin? It feels a bit strange to write a letter from the editor – I never seriously thought that one day I would find myself as captain of the good ship Apricotpie. I suppose I assumed – as I assume most of us did – that our beloved Ben would guide our ship as our captain forever – well, at least indefinitely. But, there is a time and season for everything, and after ten wonderful years Ben felt that it was time for him to move on.
*YAY!! Apricotpie is still up and running! Thank you James. :) I apologize for being so far behind with both commenting and posting, but life has been busy. I'd like to say that I'll catch up with commenting and such soon, but I'm in the middle of doing NaNoWriMo right now (why I decided to do it this year, I have no idea), and it looks like life will simply just get busier from here on. Anyway, this is a poem I had to write for my creative writing class at my community college. The style is based on an ancient Chinese form of writing poetry.**
The Final installment of Half Blood. I'm currently editing this book and hope to get it published. If anyone has any suggestions or critiques (especially in regards to where I could flesh out the story), please email me at skribblegurl at gmail dot com (replace at with @ and dot with . I did this to keep from spambots grabbing the link and giving me all kinds of spam). I'll keep you updated about Half Blood's progress in the publishing world!
