I've been in public school, charter school, online school, and let me tell you--there is NOTHING like homeschooling. The freedom of learning is a feeling so unlike everything else. I've written essays about homeschoolers in the past, but this one is more of my own thoughts. No 'facts' or anything of the sort. And spelling errors, it won't always be grammatically correct...so read on! Because I don't proof read. (as my bio says).

“She’ll be all right?” immediately followed my exclamation and awkward embrace. I pretended I hadn’t buried my head in his black coat and that he hadn’t stroked my hair. But his lemony smell was still in my nostrils.
“Do you want to make sure?” he said. I nodded, and a few more tears blurred his image.
He disentangled himself and stood; I sprang to his side, unwilling to be alone for another second.
“Jess,” he said rather quietly, but his voice carried. She turned to look at him, at us together, and he waved.
"I wrote this piece for a writing class."

Hello!
If you're an It's Not That Simple fan, two new chapters have been published! (yay!) But they're under September...so they're not showing up on the Fiction tab of AP. Be sure to check them out! (and be ready for more dramatic stuff than ever....*sigh*)

Dear Homeschooling Friends,
Welcome to the Autumn of legends and prophesy victims. It is also a time where apples fall from heaven, things happen with solitary bell towers...
And it all happens in the autumn when trees change their colors and drop their leaves.
When I took a tally and counted all the suggestions that received more than one vote, I came up with the following:
Legend .......................................5
“I’m prophesied to do WHAT?”.....5
Combine legend and prophesy... 4
Lack of a Fatherly Influence.........2
I don't usually write free verse poetry, but I really liked how this one turned out.
Chapter 4
Amicus pasted shopping malls in awe, his mouth slightly open.
Amy smiled to herself.
Wanting to laugh she tore Amicus away from a store window, displaying a dummy in a blond wig, and in blue jeans, and a blouse with no sleeves.
"Why would any one wear that... that...that thing!" Amicus exclaimed loudly. Making people stare. "And how does that man just stand there without moving? Isn't he embarrassed, wearing that pillow case?"
Amy pulled on his arm, "Its the style on Earth. Just go with it! And that's not a real person, its plastic."

Chapter Seven
Finding his True Love
The prince finally got out of his boat at the shore. He saw the beautiful palace. He went to the gate.
"Halt!" said a guard.
The prince was angry at this interruption.
"I am Prince Robert. I want to see the princess."
"Pass," said the guard.
The prince went to the palace and knocked on the throne room door because there was no guard there.
"Come in," he heard someone say.
