The Compassionate Jesus, by Lauren T

When Jesus died, he had been betrayed by a friend, chastised by his own, and forsaken by his Father. He had no one left in the world or in all the vastness and void of space. No one in heaven- but one in Hell who would've readily claimed Jesus' soul if God's plan showed fault; but the plan had yet to be fulfilled. When Jesus died he had no one, save for a few loyal followers who had not given up hope in the plan that Jesus had revealed to them. This plan, that Jesus completed not in his death, but after it.

The School of Lies, by Crystal W.

A world built on heart breakers a place feared by risk takers.
No ones are no ones and losers always lose.
Halls are always dark and choices aren't worth the choose.
People are judges and heros aren't real.
friends aren't allowed and thugs who can't feel.
The pill poppers excuse users.
lonely fools and friend abusers.
The crippled society, the fit and unfair.
Sadly accused and minds gone bare.
Lies in every room, fights without reason.
Words become deadly wars without treason.

Her throat began to burn with anger.
"Kelly, I'm sorry, honey; but I think it would be better if you didn't hang out with Stephanie any more."
Her throat formed a knot. Stephanie was her best friend.
"It's not fair." Kelly found herself whispering; she didn't say this, her tears did.
"Well, honey, life just isn't fair." her mom replied
Tears began to form in the corner of her eyes. She had heard that phrase so many times before.
'Life is unfair'

Lord, Your Will is All I Seek, by Siobhan M.

Lord, your will is all I seek,
for I know that you are wise.
We cannot know what is best,
only you can give us rest;
thus our eyes turn toward the skies.

We may say " life isn't fair";
and yet, who are we to say?
We cannot see future things,
nor what this life soon may bring,
nor how long our joy will stay.

You can see the future well;
you know pain can follow cheer,
and how empty things can be
if they are not filled with Thee,
if we only cling to "hear".

A Thoughtless World, by Carlee M.

Nowadays nobody thinks for themselves anymore.
Creating your own thoughts is becoming, more or less, a bore.
People are saying "Why should I want to do others work?
After all, no sparks of ideas in my imagination lurk."

There are only a few who have fresh thought today.
The rest are the same old thoughts twisted a different way.
Not many of us are left who can search our minds.
All the rest of the world seems to be scared of what there they might find.

This Old Man, by Sarina B.

On a snowy night he walks alone,
His hands are cold, his eyes are stone.
A limp he has, a cane he holds,
This old man walks; his story unfolds.

A frown he wears on his face of steel,
His heart was broken, never to heal.
He stops and stares at lovers so glad,
That joy they show he, too, once had.

Turning away, he walks still on,
His love had died before its dawn.
He sees the sky all covered in cloud,
He makes no sound, yet yells aloud.

The Lion stands for Darkness, which you can't pass.
A lamb, helpless yet Invincible.
Horse Inner Beauty.
And the Wolf, Majestic strength.
These are the marks on my mind,
Creatures, not left behind,
in my mind, in my mind.

Emptiness

Waking up in the world never is easy.
There is something each and every day that motivates one to arise and answer the beckoning calls of time.
However there is a day when one does not have reason to arise.
When times are bleak and the soul is black the last thing on one’s heart is to arise and greet the sun.
And yet there is one thing that keeps us on the path whether we should be dead or alive in spirit.
Love for others.
But there comes a day when the One who is loved falls into darkness and hope.
What then is there to live for?
