A kinda fun story about an AP friend who came for Ariel's wedding and why I'm ashamed

So… Ariel got married last weekend and I got to meet an old AP friend in real life (whose user name I cannot remember or find, so we’ll call her Keri). Keri came all the way from a very far off land to see Ariel get hitched, which blows me away because airfare is so expensive and she had never met Ariel in real life. So one of my cousins and I were wakeboarding on the Wii the night before the wedding and in walks Ariel’s mom and introduces us to this girl named Keri.

John Fulton Reynolds was born to John and Lydia Reynolds, the third of nine children, on 20 September 1820 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His father, though not wealthy, prized education and sought for every means to further his son’s education without straining family resources. With the help of family friend, Senator James Buchanan, he managed to secure a position for Reynolds at West Point in 1837. An average student, Reynolds graduated from the academy twenty-sixth of fifty in 1841, after which he received a commission as brevet second lieutenant in the 3rd U.S.

Sorrowful Mother

Teach my heart how to grieve for Him,
let me know what i need to give,
guide my desire
to be for none other
than His bruised heart.
You answered yes to His call
you gave everything,
you nurtured Him in the womb, birthed Him
He made you clean.
You know the meaning of victory
facing unthinkable odds
you lived the passion
your heart was torn
you died with Him
you had to remain after He rose.
You know the meaning of triumph
beyond the hurt
beyond the scars
beyond the despair

You, Me, And Our Song

I wake up to the same old thing,
Hoping that maybe today's the day,
That I really start to live.
See, my heart's been broken;
It's been snapped in two.
And I was afraid to love,
Until I saw you...

We're dancing together,
And I know, that
This is where I belong.
We could go on forever,
Just you, me, and the song...

Waging

Fall over yourself
With comparisons to summer days and
The sweetest chocolate
Drape him in admiration
His perfect eyes and
That gorgeous smile
Downplay the fact that your knees are jello
And your heart is rayon
You must play it cool
You must never refuse
Anything too much or too fast
Or brazen
Why? If only because he is everything
That others expect him to be
For you
That you have to go along with
But at the end of the day
Will graciousness win out
Or will good conscience?

Another Day is Done

1. Exhausted
I used to put up with a lot
I used to brave the mood swings and the angry drunken tirades
Put a happy face on when I was shaking with fury
Stay united with my family while we all just watched
But now I’m making an executive decision
I don’t have to spend my time with people who make me crazy
So I’ll sit back in my cave and write about it.

We retreated too, then, with great care in case the beasts performed another about-face while our backs were to them. When we arrived in the little clearing, the other soldiers relaxed some.

Seeing to the wounded was not my area of expertise and I allowed Fern and Savadra to play nurse along with those soldiers who carried aid-kits with them. Meanwhile, I sidled up to Craigin. He showed no signs of waking, but his breathing was nice and regular and his cuts had been bandaged.
