Journey 2 the Big Rock

I did this story/essay when I was twelve, so excuse me if it isn't the best I've ever done.

~* * * *~

This story happened when I was ten years old. My friends, Bree, Avery, Ben, Isaac, Sarah, my older brother Zay and I all went on a hike. Our guide was Isaac and Sarah’s great-aunt Martha. When we first started, we all picked out our own staffs (walking sticks) to help us along the way. I picked one about 5.1 because I was only about 5 feet back then. (Uh huh, you heard me right.)

Monday Thru Wednesday/The Moon Will Rise/Confused About What Direction My Life Should Take/some ranty autobiographical essay prose poetry

DISCLAIMER: Mild language, edited out with asterisks :).

Monday.
At 1:15am the moon will rise over a greenish Uranus, I don’t know what to say to him, I say I’m in love but yet I hate these awkward pauses, football football farmer’s almanac, maybe I’m not as desperate as I thought, yes he is attractive and wonderful, but this is sort of liberating, we’re just friends I am declaring it as true.

My Life

So, a lot's changed since my last post on here.I suppose the best way to provide an update is to post my most recent tumblr update.
It's hard to remember warmth. It's hard to remember summer. There is only the crunch of snow masking the crunch of leaves underfoot, and the leaves above waiting to make a sandwich with the snow.

The Curse of Time: Chapter 11

Now, I think we all know what Raven chose. It would be foolish to think otherwise. But then, just for a moment, let us imagine what would have happened if she had chosen to stay in her secure life. She would have gone to school, possibly dropped out, possibly changed degrees, possibly gone on to get her masters, and maybe (just maybe) gotten a good job somewhere. Then she would meet the perfect guy, have the perfect kids, and die the perfect death; or she would meet the perfect guy, have horrible kids, and die a terrible death; or she would never meet the guy and die alone and unhappy.

The Curse of Time: Chapter 10

This all just happened so fast that I can’t even figure out how it started anymore. And what has happened? What is happening? I’m not even sure that any of this is real. I guess it doesn’t really matter though, if it’s real or not. Whether time travel exists or doesn’t, I promised Aaron I’d decide.
Maybe I could just go with them to make sure nothing crazy happens.
What am I saying? To go with them is to assume that something crazy will inevitably happen. Regardless, I need to decide by tomorrow.

You Cannot Move Me

"We're fools whether we dance or not,
so we might as well dance."
-Japanese Proverb

o~O~o

Make me stop smiling.
I dare you, for it is impossible.
Squash my dreams?
Inconceivable as they are to your small minds,
you are incapable.

I feel joy:
I dance, unashamed.

Experience sorrow:
I weep, unabashed.

Your small-mindedness will never move me.
I am unfazed by blind hatred.

Open Theism and the Sovereignty of God

No one would write fiction if the characters in a story constantly opposed the author’s plan. We can imagine Frodo Baggins, contrary to J.R.R. Tolkien’s intention, refusing to take the Ring of Power or Lucy Pevensie deciding not to explore the wardrobe. An author would have to adjust constantly to accommodate the whims of his characters. Open theism claims that this is reality.

Wrecking Ball

Even though
We talk about wrecking balls
We just don’t see
Quite what they wreck.

The wrecking ball works
Like the wrecking ball sounds.
A wrecking ball wrecks
Everything that you love.

When the wrecking ball hits,
It bursts through the wall
And leaves a hole
For the rain to get through.

The wrecking ball works
Like the wrecking ball sounds.
A wrecking ball wrecks
Everything that you love.
