Musical

Lightning flashes across the sky,
Thunder rumbles a lullaby;
Soft and deep, very sweet and low,
Wind hums along, breathy and slow.
Tree branches gently dip and sway;
Waltzing the moonlit night away.
Raindrops kissing the cool night air,
Stars twinkling with light-beams fair.
Rustic theatre sets the scene
For a concert and play serene.
Handiwork of a mighty Lord:
A musical you can afford.

Approach of a Storm

Approach of a Storm

I saw the lightning leap from the mountain's crest
And a roar answered from the heavens.
An eagle, spiraling to her rocky nest,
missed the thunderbolt by a feather's breadth.
Quickly the clouds cloaked the sky,
Swiftly the sun was veiled in gray.
The wind had risen, cold and high;
It swirled and gusted, then it died.
In the silence I heard the clouds
Pouring a hundred thousand
diamond drops to the ground
While the thirsting earth drank them down.

Black and Red

Thunderfire
Great in stature
Tall above all horses
Strong are his muscles

And limbs that carry him
Dark is his coat
And fire is his eyes

Black mane and tail
Wind whipping through
Wind licking the feather of his hooves
Thunder
Releases when they pound
On the ground faster than
Speed of light
His neigh
Powerful as raging storms

Hooves of thunder
Eyes of fire
Thunderhooves
The Thunderfire
