Anne never forgot her magical journey with the Pevensies. At first, after coming back into Spare Oom, she struggled endlessly with doubt as she questioned if her journey really occurred. But now, as she resides in America, Lancaster, PA with her loving and patient husband David and her eight lovely children whom four are named, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, she truly believes that her experiences were indeed, true.

The 44-Cent Cure

Submitted by Johanna on Sat, 07/07/2012 - 01:48

A young girl from an Asian village is skipping along a dirt road on her way to draw water from a nearby stream-bank, her bare feet kicking up the dust. She waves to some of the women washing clothing by the bank, and cheerfully calls out to the children playing in the shallows. After prodding a cow out of the way with a stick, she quickly fills her jug with water. It all seems perfectly safe, but in reality, the villagers’ lives are in danger because of something they cannot even see.

A Dream is Just a Dream...or is it? Chap. 15 (a Narnian fan fiction)

The next morning dawned fair and clear.
At the crack of dawn, I awoke. Judging from the absolute silence, I knew that no one else except for a few creatures (who were strolling in the castle grounds) and I were awake.
I glanced over at Lucy and Susan who were sleeping peacefully in their beds a few feet away.
Deciding to take a walk to the balcony, I slipped into a silky gown with the shade of pink daisies.
The halls were hauntingly quiet.
I had no idea where I was going so I found myself to be traipsing around.

At that moment when the Stone Tables cracked, something strange happened to me. It seemed like at that moment, my brain became empty. Not the dumb kind of emptiness, but the memory kind of emptiness you would sometimes encounter. I forgot almost everything that had occurred in the past—our world, how I came here, my family, but most importantly, I forgot what Aslan had told me—I forgot the very reason why I was brought into Narnia!

Why I Keep Loving

I love you, the way I love the snow. Some people think of reasons to hate it, but I can’t help but love it. Most people hate to shovel snow. It’s not my favorite thing to do, but I don’t hate it. I hear my neighbors say “I have to go shovel.” You don’t have to. You choose too. I don’t mind picking up a shovel and going out in the cold to move snow around. Sure it may be hard work and cold outside, but I see it as a chance to spend time thinking. Most people are annoyed when roads are icy. I will admit that sometimes you can get off course. You may crash against someone or vice-versa.

All right, here's a short story. I'm not much for sad ones, but this one is sad. Well, it is to me. Make what you will of the ending. I don't like sad endings...I left it open to interpretation.* Let me know your thoughts.

Gradually, the crowd silenced, sensing that Aslan wanted to speak.
His eyes seemed sad. “We must move from this place at once, it will be used for other purposes.” His eyes grew even sadder. “We shall encamp tonight at the Fords of Beruna.”
Once again, the crowd cheered and began to make preparations for the brief journey.

It’s so unfair. They don’t even notice how sad Aslan is, I thought with contempt.

A/N: Okay, I know that the timeline is a bit messed up. Hope you guys don’t mind. This chapter covers a lot of stuff. I sure will miss this story when it’s done. And if my characters behave, it looks like this story is almost done. Any phrases or lines that might have been taken from C.S. Lewis’ are C.S. Lewis’.

“Susan, there are some things I want to talk to you about,” I said to her, a few hours after the scare. “Let’s take a walk.”
“Alright.”
I laughed comfortingly, noticing that she looked at me with slight uneasiness; probably trying to decide how to prepare herself for some news that she had no inkling what it was going to be about. “Oh, don’t worry; it isn’t anything serious enough to change anything drastically!”
She sighed with relief.
As we walked together, we studied the trees and sky.
