Anne never forgot her magical journey with the Pevensies. At first, after coming back into Spare Oom, she struggled endlessly with doubt as she questioned if her journey really occurred. But now, as she resides in America, Lancaster, PA with her loving and patient husband David and her eight lovely children whom four are named, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, she truly believes that her experiences were indeed, true. Though she cannot explain why exactly she believes with all her heart that her adventure really happened, she is sincerely thankful that she was chosen to help Susan in Susan’s fragile belief in Aslan.
In all her days in Narnia, she never found her precious silver watch she had received from Father Christmas long ago and she still grieves over her carelessness.
Anne has admitted that although she suffered deep disappointment because she was not called into Narnia once again to go back in the age of Prince Caspian. But now, she understands why she was not called back: she was not a Queen of Old, but merely, an Advisor of Narnia. And the prophecy had only called and Kings and Queens of Old.
The cookies that fell out of her hands that day when she traveled to Narnia did not survive. They had fallen in the mud and Anne had to bring it back home where her patient mother did not scold her for there was some strange look about Anne which-is-indescribable-like-she-had-went-through-a lot-during-the-past-few-minutes.
Anne has shared about her experiences to only a handful of people. But the most of the few that she had confided to, didn’t believe her ‘foolishness’ and told her ‘you should go to the doctors’ or ‘what is wrong with you, let me fix you a cup of hot tea so you can relax’. Many of the ‘friends’ that she had confided to, deserted her. But there was her understanding husband. He believes that she is telling the truth. Once in a while, when it seems like memories doesn’t hurt as much, Anne does take the pleasure of telling her children the vignettes of Narnia.
She has been told many times when she was much younger, “You’re only fifteen? Why, how young! You look like you are twenty!” and she would just smile and just look away wistfully.
The last time Anne ever saw the Pevensies was when she bid them ‘farewell’ in the woods when they were hunting the White Stag.
Anne continues to carry the guilt that she may not have left such a big impression on Susan.
Anne’s lovely family still lives.
Anne’s brother, Peter did go to America for his honeymoon with his wife and they now have three beautiful children. Currently, they live in Asia. They enthusiastically preach the gospel in the underground churches there. Adriana, his wife is expecting a boy in the late October. They would extremely appreciate prayers on their work in Asia.
Anne’s sister, Eve is now engaged to a godly man named Trevor and they are preparing joyfully for their wedding.
Anne’s brother, David, the one who continuously teased Anne, still teases her whenever he sees her. But recently (and to Anne’s surprise and joy), he has started to settle down. He is still single and he has not found the perfect girl yet.
All of Anne’s family resides in America except her two parents, Gideon, Samuel, Elizabeth and Eve.
Jessa still works in Harrisburg, Virginia with Christian Lights Publication but Elizabeth has gone back to her home and now lives with her parents due to a fatal sickness she is battling with.
Although Anne loves this world, she is eagerly waiting to see her three beloved friends once more: Peter, Edmund, and Lucy (and Susan…least a miracle should have happened) in her eternal home.
THE END...TILL WE MEET AGAIN!
