Memories

Closing her eyes

and

emptying her head

letting the silver dream-mists

converge

over her, bringing

memories

of loved ones

never to return

Grandpa,

with his smiling face

Grandma,

with her womanly grace

Knowing she was

their pride and joy,

that in their hearts

she had a place,

a warm partial

place

whatever she did

they loved her

unconditional love

She smiles as she

sleeps

letting the dreams

Heartsong

Heartbeats thud

Creating thunder

Heartstrings strum

A ripple of melody

Thought-wishes explode

Muffling my brain

A blush blossoms

Overspreading my cheeks

Joy bubbles

Resulting in laughter

Confusion reigns

A harmonious disconnect

All is fair in love and war

But

This is not war, so it must be love

Yet

I do not think it fair

 To fall to pieces

When I fall in love

Rynere looked back at Tace. He shrugged.

"What do you want explained?"

"Everything."

"That's a bit more than I know, darling."

"Why are you here? What are you going to do? Do you even know what you're doing? Was Matthan telling the truth? Has this happened -"

More than a thousand years ...a wife ...children ...a servant ...annoying ...only occasionally helpful ...but still ...

"Rynere. We need to go."

"Can't we at least bury him? And what about Danid?"

"Who?"

"Danid!" Rynere pointed to the man. "We can't leave him here like this!"

"I can't carry him and he'd slow us down. Besides, you don't seem to be worried about the man I shot."

"That's because he was trying to kill us! Danid saved my life!"

Kyndran's eyes narrowed.

"He what?"

A Little Update

I apologize for being so absent from this site since posting the last bit of Half Blood. Despite having no kids and only small commitments every now and then, time seems to runs away from me! So, then, I thought I'd let you all know what is going on in my life right now...

I have been married almost a year. A YEAR! Think of it! I can't believe that this last year has gone by so quickly. It has without a doubt been the best, most wonderful, most challenging year in my life. I have grown in my love for my husband so much!
