Rainbow; an acronym

Rainbow

(An acronym)

Rain is falling to the ground,

Anywhere and everywhere I see water dripping down.

I look up and search the sky of clouds.

Now I see a place where sun beams fall through,

Brilliant shades of red, orange, yellow, green, and the rest,

One after the first flowing in a breathtaking arch of colors,

Wonderful and glorious is God’s great creation,

Sea Eyes, Chapter 7, by Xotirra

My head spun.  It turned me around and around in circles, and it was throbbing too.  My eyelids seemed glued together, and I struggled to open them.  Finally I managed it, and found myself staring into a boy’s face, into which were set light brown eyes that stared at me intently.  I may have blushed at this point.  He was actually rather handsome.  His jaw was straight and strong.  All this, I took in while he was staring at me.

The Doohinkles and the CRAZY AMAZING Thing

MRS DOOHINKLE: Dear, this box came today.

MR DOOHINKLE: Wonderful. It must be my used candlewax sculpture of a hammer.

MRS DOOHINKLE: No, I'm sure it's my water bottle hankies.

MR DOOHINKLE: What does it say?

MRS DOOHINKLE: The CRAZY AMAZING Thing.

MR DOOHINKLE: Then it must be-

DOOEY: Look! My Girl Palace Makeup Set with matching telescope is here!

LOOEY: But of course, it's my genuine 1965 racing jet full-scale model!

DOOEY: But...

LOOEY: Dooey...

MR DOOHINKLE: Guess what everyone? I've decided to go BALD!!

Note: This story/essay is based on a very vivid dream I had this summer. I added some elements to make it more like a story, but the majority of this is exactly what I saw in my dream. It was quite possibly one of the creepiest dreams I ever had, and even just reading this account that I wrote down afterwards makes me afraid somehow, and sad - even though I tried to avoid using emotional words, which fits the "robot" theme. It almost has a feel of those towns they built in the 50's to test nuclear bombs on - like in the new Indiana Jones.

An untitled, somewhat depressing poem

Submitted by KatieSara on Thu, 09/17/2009 - 22:45

The rainstorm reminds me
Of someone I miss
We ran through the puddles
And each made a wish.
Oh how we laughed,
As the drops hit our faces!
We chased to and fro,
And he won all our races.

I loved the rain,
Because of that day.
My own happy memories
Made it seem bright and gay.
But that someone is gone now
And naught's left in the rain
But bittersweet memories
And heart-numbing pain.

Doofenshmirtz on Teenagers: A Musing for Phineas and Ferb Fans

Note: It’s more fun if you read it out loud in his voice.

Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz on the subject of teenagers:

The problem with teenagers is that they never talk to their parents. My daughter Vanessa will not even look at me when she talks. I made an Eye-ContactInator Ray but then it… misfired… and it was like awkward. And even then all Vanessa said was, "You’re staring at me… it’s weird. Give me three guesses. Perry. The." And I [lied], "Why no. No it wasn’t." So she rolled her eyes and I was back to the drawing board.

The Path

Submitted by Lorraine on Thu, 09/17/2009 - 17:33

Do you see that Path? The one with shadows across certain portions and an occassional ray of the sun lighting its flagstones? The one with thorns and roses lining it? The one where tempests howl and calm, summer breezes blow? The one where predator and victim walk side-by-side? Where Pretenders and Truthtellers are friends? That Path is Life; it is the Path which I traverse.
