Chapter Four – Lodgings
Blah:
The writings of a crazy homeschooled teenager at 1:00 o'clock in the morning, who should be asleep.
Ashes of what once was
The memory faded
The scars healed
The tears now gone
The lesson never forgotten

Elise moistened her lips. Nothing happened. She set the glass on the table, and lay back down. Pictures and images began to float around in her memory, making her dizzy.
“Wh—what’s happening to me?” she called out, her hands grasping the thin air.
“The chosen one, the chosen one.” A voice chanted.
Remember
Remembering when I was all small-
Safe while enveloped in my father’s arms,
My momma’s love,
The smile of a so close sister.
Not a care in the world
Not a sigh on my lips
Not a sad heart
Not a gap
Remembering when I was starting to grow-
Happy while guided around every single corner,
Every big question,
The time I couldn’t pray.
Not an unanswered question
Not a confused heart
Not a fear to ask
Not a frown
My brother is getting married in the spring, so sad. Weddings and growing up have been on my mind because of this! Thus, this little poem was born, hope you like it!

The Brink of Forever
The time has been awaited
The earth has been prepared
The day
here
The once little girl has grown
The shyness of youth forgotten
The toys
Left
The once little boy has faded
The time of swords, capes gone
The simple
Behind
Goodbye, my old and constant friend,
You will be with me ‘till the end.
When I conversed with her last time,
We said we’d talk some other time.
At first we spoke almost each day,
But soon we were to fade away
Into our far too distant lives,
And soon saw life from different eyes.
And now we talk but once a year
And when we speak sometimes I fear
That I will say something I ought
Not say, ‘cause of your different lot.
As the day grows dark and cold,
Its arms keep me warm;
And as the day grows old,
Its dancing keeps me young.
Yet as the sky grows dark
My world is filled with night.
The world is black as night
Beneath the arms of cold.
Yet even in the cold and black,
Its arms will keep me warm.
Beside it I feel young
Because the tree is old.
first i saw you standing there
i was hit, unaware, that through this I would change
I was unsure
this was obscure
and I’d been hurt too many times
I asked myself
how to see
you as I was meant too
in a way that was
first and foremost true
truly i love you
when i saw your eyes shine beneath the stars
i thought for a brief moment
of what it would be like
to have something that was ours
when i told you that what i wanted
was to never stop living this
