A Fantasy Dream

A fantasy dream of forests deep

With leaves of abundant green

And sparkling rays of morning sun

Where fairies are dancing bright

Girded some with swords

While others with stars and flowers

On paths of moonbeams blue

And golden roads abide

And flitting snowflakes and summer rain

All dance about with harpers and songs

And the branches are winding

Tangled and smooth

Little trees and trees which are tall

A fantasy dream of midnight sky

When moon rises up

White and shining beaming light

The stars twinkle above

Ponds and forests

Mountains and seas

All enchanted in dark night

As the wolf will howl

And fairies will dance in field and forest

As unicorns stand among them,

And bounding across sky is Pegasus

His wings outspread as they glisten

Sheer in the silver moonlight

A fantasy dream of morning dawn

Where creatures awake in dazzling dew

Breathing breaths of morning wind

The shores awake as seagulls cry.

And the dragon starts at the sound

While outside his cave a unicorn prances

As a fiddler plays on the rocks

As the mermaids near him swim

While the sun does rise

With streaks of gold in its rays

Blinding out the moon and stars

While the sun still climbs leaving shadows behind

And fairies dance again with nimble feet

A fantasy dream of fleeting horses

Some with horns of silvery light

Others with wings clear and flapping

As they fly across sky and plain

Their arching legs

And tails that shine white and curved

Their coats shining in many rays

Their eyes like scrolls of wisdom and pride

Dashing then into the sea

Tossing their heads

And swimming swiftly

As they glow in dawn ever running

Galloping to the end of night

A fantasy dream of sailing seas

And ships that glide among the waves

Their prows are high shaped as leaves

Upon them elves abide

With fairest faces and bows and quivers

Grey feathered arrows and strings of gold

The curling waves still lap the shore

As blue sky the sea reflects

And breaking through the mermaids come

Riding great horses silent and still

To sing softly tongues of ancient times

Voices like echoing seas

Of sunlight ever beaming

A fantasy dream to take thee away

Like thundering falls or pattering rain

Mystical and fair hath taken your dream

This was lovely.  I loved the rhythm, the lyrical, melodic quality.  Lovely.  Just lovely.

Brother: Your character should drive a motorcycle.
Me: He can't. He's in the wilderness.
Brother: Then make it a four-wheel-drive motorcycle!

Ditto to everyone else.

Wow, Bernadette!!!!

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." -Bilbo Baggins [The Lord of the Rings]

I am such a dreamer and therefore I loved it. :) You are an amazing writer, Bernadette! And I love the fact that you are a LOTR nut too! LOL

"n a world that is falling apart, I have found my hope
Cause the power that brightens the stars, brought to life my soul
Now im calling from roof tops, shouting from mountain peeks
You're everything to me

Forever I'll tell you
Yeah I'll scream until it hurts
That I can't live without you
You are Heaven I am Earth
And even from the moment that you saved my life
That I'll always love you

Hallelujah the battle is won let the church bells ring
Hallelujah salvation has come and it came for me
What was lost now is found, yeah the heart that was bound is free
Your grace amazes me"

That's way too long for a signature. But I love the whole song!
