Precious Reminders

     I’m sitting at my kitchen table with my school looking up at me with disdain, as I watch the millions of snowflakes fall one by one onto the frozen ground. There is something so enchanting about how the snow falls, and whenever I see it I stop and try to watch each one find its place. They seem to be searching for it as they drift and finally they see it and float down with white gracefulness to land on the exact spot.
     I wonder, how many people stop to contemplate the little things in their life. Like the snow.

Before the Daystar

“From the womb before the daystar I begot you.”
-Psalm 110: 3

Before I was born I was acknowledged;
In the mind of God I dwelt.
He planned my whole life, all that would happen,
And on my angel knees I knelt.

For some say we were angels before humans;
But then how can I tell?
I knew nothing, I remember nothing,
Only God knows what befell.

So then one day I came into being,
And human was now my guise.
Hidden in the womb of my own mother
God looked with love on me, His prize.
