The Trader-Chapter Three-The Elven Princess
The light on the water,
Stars shining in heaven,
The moon in the leaves,
And you’re standing by me.
Standing by me,
You’re standing by me.
By the side of the river
In the midst of the woods,
There at my side,
You’re standing by me.
For better or worse,
Through life until death,
To love and to cherish,
Whispers heard everywhere
The flowers swayed in the autumn breeze
The green grasses would bear the Sun's
Rays that made the morning dew drops glisten
The birds are chirping, do you hear them
Singing the early morning melody
Flying happily, oblivious to the lens that pointed
At the beauty of the place that is so free
The crackling of the leaves and twigs
And the soothing effect of the ocean breeze
Makes the world that's so big and crazy
**Ta DA! First post of the new year! :D Actually, I was hoping to post a chapter from one of my books, but as our computer is dead right now and waiting to be resurrected, I can't access my folder with all my writing in it; but hopefully that will be changed soon! So I decided to just post a poem that I wrote, by hand, and still have on paper. It's kind of one of those experimental-type poems, so any suggestions would be nice. Enjoy!**

rainbows dance above the river,
and
splash
splash
Notebook flipped open to an empty page
Pencil in hand, eraser in range
A mess of ideas desperately waiting to be written
But yet I think to myself, "Where is my inspiration?!"
Empty, like a useless vessel, I feel
If I was really blessed with such an incredible gift
Why am I not pouring it out to the world?
Oh what a God-given gift I have blessed with!
The gift to design a world of my own
The gift to sing without a voice
The gift to fly on the wings of the wind
Hey, I won't be posting all of this. I'm entering a novel writing competition (check out www.bookartsbash.com!! ) and this is an excerpt from a novel I'm considering. PLEASE, I LOVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRIT.!! Thanks!
Forbidden Love
A fantasy dream of forests deep
With leaves of abundant green
And sparkling rays of morning sun
Where fairies are dancing bright
Girded some with swords
While others with stars and flowers
On paths of moonbeams blue
And golden roads abide
And flitting snowflakes and summer rain
All dance about with harpers and songs
And the branches are winding
Tangled and smooth
Little trees and trees which are tall
A fantasy dream of midnight sky
The length draws tightly to a close Light wakes slower from its doze Flights of clouds draw in closer North the air sails cold and bitter Yellow branches hang in array Blue brighter, clearer, and gay Pages opened upon laps of wonder Afternoon passes with growing slumber Warmth abundant, nightly chill Moisture in air, wind on hill Gaily, freely, children ran Under sunlight’s golden hands Goodbye to thee! Goodbye to thee! Dear and lovely summer!
