 Chapter Three

Encountering The BIG Bull

 

He was riding his horse down the road when an old man came bursting out of a gate, rushing up to him. He had a sword in one hand and a bull whip in the other, and he was riding a big bull. He shook his weapons at him and yelled,

"Thief! Thief! You get off my horse you horrible man!" 

The prince looked at him aghast. 

"You dare speak to the prince like he was a common criminal? If you want your miserable horse just say so!"

Hello everyone,

here is another story. I have finished the story but do not want to overwhelm you, so here are the first two chapters.

Chapter One

What started It All

 

Once upon a time there lived a prince named Robert. He had never loved anything in his life. He hated his books (but he read them anyway to pass the time of day), he hated his horse, his slaves, his sword, his kingdom, even his wealth (because it did nothing but buy more hated things).

The next morning was spent attending services at the gorgeous Havenwing cathedral, after which we returned home and were joined for lunch by a few of Uncle Oruc and Aunt Monria's friends.

Even that 'casual' gathering made me nervous with its pomp and opulence, but I hoped it might prepare me for my first Havenwing ball, which Aunt Monria had informed me the day before, was taking place in three weeks' time.

Midnight, there were no stars, no moon, nothing but the distant glow of store lights that seemed to hide just beneath the horizon’s edge.

 

There was a pasture that had gentle hills and an unsteady barbed wire fence surrounding it. It seemed to be uninhabited… until I came, well, I should say, we came.
