world of white:
white sky
white ground
white whirling through the air
white noise
trees, houses, cars
sprout from the crystal earth
muddy tracks
mar the pristine beauty
poofy coats tuck in their chins
and hurry on
sun sets
moon rises
sparkling beauty returns
deep blue sky
studded with stars
invisible obstructions
coated with glitter
artificial lights
rising heavenward
in golden spirals
beautiful world
Snow is magical, isn't it? Add moonlight, and it's as if you are transported to a new world. I love looking out the window at night during the winter, just to see how everything has been transformed. Even if the moon is hidden, the snow still glows. Magic, I tell you.

Lovely poem. I love it.

Confession...
I have to admit, when I was younger, I would portion off part of the backyard, and forbid my younger siblings from doing anything on it. I had to preserve a little bit of the magic the perfect layer of snow brought. Now our yard just gets completely trampled. But I can deal with the disapointment better. :)
Also, thank you both so much for your kind comments!

Wow,
I never realized it was snow you were talking about. I like this poem a lot! Very well worded!

Oh yeah, magical.
Not your best, but still. Beautiful. But I don't get to see snow that much.....but I'm sure it's lovely with the moonlight.
