Peaches Pt. 4
Breathless, she collapsed. She beheld her hands before her on the pavement; they were blue, bruised and numb. Pattering, the rain struck her back, dripped down her hair and caused little ripples in the puddles that surrounded her. She was on her knees: torn by the rough pavement. {Okay, so I don't usually write fiction. It just dosen't really work out for me. But I was writing today, and I think it turned out okay. Please let me know what you think! I haven't done much editing yet, so forgive the slightly sloppy quality. Thanks!}
Thank you HomeschoolGirl for the title to this story.
Note: This poem was inspired by the song Broken by Lifehouse.
The broken voices, they whisper,
drowning out the sound.
They all strive to remind me,
that you are not around.
The simple answers evade me.
They will not let me know.
Who it is that I am now
if I truly let you go?
How is it that I’m breathing
when I can’t even feel at all?
Inspired by a video at the FiveSixteen Film Festival
She's drowning her tears trying to breathe
But suffocating because she can't find any air
She falls down an abyss, hoping to never return to the surface
All because of a broken heart.
A boy came into view, a boy who held all her dreams
Swept her away when she fell in love with his candy-sweet words
He declared ardent love for her and he said he'd never leave her.
He said he fell in love with the way she looked at him.
