Lenten Prayer

Submitted by Mairead on Sat, 04/11/2009 - 13:55
Incense rises to the sky
Carrying all the pain and cries

Bringing to God our joys and our pleas
As the billowing smoke upkeeps

It goes to heights unseen by us
But to believe is enough

And for a moment all stands still
Hushing fear, cries, and will

As silently it blows and climbs
It traces our tears within its lines
We sit with calm and close our eyes
To slip with the smoke past space and time

Focusing now on the wounded head
True love’s completion never ends

I Thirst

Submitted by Clare Marie on Fri, 04/10/2009 - 14:43

I hang stretched upon a naked tree
Pierced hands, pierced feet
Bleeding wounds -oh so many
A crown of thorns upon my head

About me stand my enemies
Laughing and deriding
Mocking me -but how I still love them
I created them each individually

Where is my God?
I am forsaken
Oh! How great are the sins on my soul!

Sins of which I am not guilty
A burden I took out of love

My children! I love thee!
My own! Come back to me!
Ah, how I thirst for souls!

The Dragon's Treasure

Submitted by Sarah on Thu, 04/09/2009 - 21:46

Gold and silver,
running like a river,
littering the floor.
Diamonds and rubies,
glittering and shining
and priceless things galore.

By a dragon hoarded
by its fire guarded
they'll leave this cave nevermore.
Till it can no longer fly
and it finally dies
Its roar silenced forever.

The treasure will be pillaged
it will benefit a small village
the dragon's treasure dispersed throughout the world.
another dragon someday
will steal it again
and once more it will rest in a Dragon's hoard.

Hello again

Hi, everyone. I haven't been on here in a while. I have been flooded with story ideas but so no one can steal it I haven't been posting much. But as always, I am indecisive and need your help.

I Wonder

Submitted by Sarah on Thu, 04/09/2009 - 00:07

I wonder what has happened
to the days
when life was carefree.
I wander as I wonder,
as I look, but I don't see.
Yet still I wonder,
wandering yet,
Ceaselessy searching,
for a way to get

love
truth
beauty

without

strife
hatred
pain

where can I find
the hidden virtues of the heart,
they're buried deep,
they've been ignored for so long.
Yet they've been there all along.

With love

Submitted by jaci on Wed, 04/08/2009 - 16:30

With love

With love, I sit here
Love is contagious in my hands
All my friends want the disease
I want to make it die
The feeling is disgusting
I loath it

Although I hate it, there is one man I do truly love
But my mother loathes him
She wants me to marry a man she picked out, for no good reason

Every night in my cubby, I sit in my bunk bed, singing Alicia, my 4 year old sister, to sleep
Love drowns in my dreams

I wake up
The man I truly love, is saying goodbye.

My death

Submitted by jaci on Wed, 04/08/2009 - 16:17

My death

The waves pass my green eyes
Green reflects off the blue that’s swishing right in front of me
Nothingness fills my ears
Thoughts fill my mind
Death fills my body
Life no where around
Little kid's voices fill my thoughts
A picture of when I was 4 fills my head
Nothing fills my heart
My soul travels to another heart, then another
My 14 year old body, no longer alive

Life and Roses

Submitted by airlia on Tue, 04/07/2009 - 22:00

Liquid silver dew,
Crimson red petals,
They gather together,
They begin life a-new.
Growing in color,
Smiles they bring,
Their beauty unmatched,
Of earth do they sing.
Through their season they bloom,
Alas they must die.
Nothings eternal,
So life shall pass by.
A new rose may take,
place of an old.
So new life is given,
To us it is told.
The new bring forth life,
The old fade away,
Together they are creation,
Together they will stay.

Warrior's Creed: Part 3

Sable cast a lazy glance at Spencer, not showing a hint of remorse for what he had just done. With a snort, the dappled mare turned back to her hay and munched on it as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, Spencer lay sprawled on the stable walkway, rump sore from its sudden contact with Sable’s hoof. Spencer’s brow furrowed and his jaw muscles clenched tightly. Why did the creature do this to him? He had fed her, groomed her, started cleaning her hooves…and then she had kicked him, as if he were an annoying flea. Just as he was pushing himself off the ground, Zeth walked in.
