I.
I don’t have a confidence problem
In fact, I am a little vain
I don’t mean to insinuate
That I think I am perfect
Because that is entirely untrue
However,
I like myself not just physically
But as a whole
And I don’t think that is a bad thing.
II.
I often wish that I could
Be eight years old again
Times were a lot simpler
Way back when
III.
I don’t have a best friend
Right now
I get a little lonely
But
It will get better
IV.
I’m a really good kid
I’ve never even been grounded
I work hard and try my best
To do the right thing
But I feel like I’m missing something
I guess it’s the wildness of youth
I mean, I don’t want to get into trouble
Go off the deep end
But I surely want to have fun.
V.
I really hate
When people ask me if I’m okay
Of course I’m okay, I’m always okay
I feel bad that I’m bothered by it
Because I know they’re just
Trying to be nice
But I’m okay
So stop asking
VI.
Everyone tells me that I’m
The nicest person ever
Which I think is funny because
I don’t feel that nice
I’m definitely not mean
But I don’t think I overflow with kindness
But I guess my perception of myself
Is a little different.
VII.
He’s gone right now with her
I miss him
Which doesn’t really matter
To anyone but me
But he’ll be back on Saturday.
VIII.
I don’t like to throw things away
I mean, I throw out trash
But not things people give me
I have a collection of birthday cards
Sticky notes, little reminders
I feel like I’ll hurt their
Nonexistent feelings
Such a childish decision
Like how I used to rotate the night
That I slept with each stuffed animal
So the next one wouldn’t get jealous.
Copied Homey on this one ;). Some of these might be TMI, but hopefully you like them, ha. I love comments!

These are great, and really
These are great, and really insightful. I liked seeing a peak into your word, and I liked the way you introduced yourself in a simple poetic format. I enjoyed reading the a LOT! I have a nasty habit of trying to relate to poetry in some way, I felt like we were alike in a lot of ways! Ditto to Homey, I save everything! I have a specific box for birthday cards from family, and birthday cards from friends.... But!!! They help when you can't remember what it was like on your twelfth birthday ;) ;)
Thanks for sharing yourself :D now I want to work on mine sometime soon.

Cute set :)
I liked II. because well, eight was a good number for me and truthfully yeah things were loads simpler.
V. Yes, I hate that too.
VII. Aww. Sad :( "But he’ll be back on Saturday."
VIII. Well, I guess I'm a little different from you guys. I LIKE chucking stuff out. Actually, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I had a lot of useless stuff to get rid of anyway. Meh, but I have to say, I do keep those precious birthday cards when what they wrote inside was nice :)
Nice job, Erin!

Aw, Erin, I love these! I
Aw, Erin, I love these! I love this insight into who you are! :) I am SO glad you did this and I enjoyed reading these tremendously (whoa, adjective use). I really liked VIII the best. That reminded me of myself, actually--I don't hardly ever throw things away. And oh, the end. <3 That was lovely, so vibrant. Thanks for sharing, Erin! :D
