Dreams Are As Far; Wicked

Dreams Are As Far

The dream beams rays of hope in heart
It felt really real, as most dreams do
But this one was special, arms wrapped from behind me
It captures the beauty of you

I'm left with the warmth of the sun in my chest
It's a nice feeling, better if for real reason
It was really strange, when you did what you did
I could have you committed for teasing

And what I saw this morning was kind of the same
Your arm wrapped around from behind
My breath would have come out in a shudder if I
Didn't have some resolve left to attempt to at least try

Or maybe I'm grounded and aware of the difference
Maybe I just see what it is
Maybe the maybe is my way of saying
Dreams are as far as we're going to get

Wicked

I will be perfectly honest
A good hostess to your desire
If you throw something at me I'll make it my own
Never mind your taste for the fire

Breathing is something that I rarely do
Not when you're three inches away
I'm ready for it all, I'm ready for reason
I'm ready for your anything

Jawline to chin and hairline to eyes
Compose the most stoic of faces and time
Is slowing down substantially, it's almost divine
The way you regard all my virtues

Knuckles to wrist I won't let us slip
I'll capture your hand in a tight vicelike grip
Hold me closer, life's fully equipped
To deal with the day's consequences

Look on over my shoulder, don't see me
It'll be too much if you do
Hold onto my shoulder, do you need me
It'll be too much if that's true

This is what wicked is when you get right down to it
Two chaste expressions in someone else's crowded room
This is what wicked is when you get right on through it
To chaste depressions in hearts that are bruised

Notes

heyyyyyy! So I wrote the first poem this morning, and the second back in December, but I never got around to posting it. :P Thoughts??? :D Thank yoooou! I hope Wicked isn't too testy for Apricot Pie, haha. I guess it would be about someone warring with themselves about whether or not to have a relationship. Completely fictional, as about half of my poems are. :P

I liked both of these.

"But this one was special, arms wrapped from behind me
It captures the beauty of you"
"I could have you committed for teasing" I like that line
And then the last one is good too.

Wicked was heavy, just a bit. I really liked the first stanza, it's describing words are great. I think the last two lines are awesome:
"This is what wicked is when you get right on through it
To chaste depressions in hearts that are bruised"

Actually no, maybe the two lines before that are the best. *shrug* Well done with the repetition, it was done very well.

I love the poop out of these.
That is all.

So I've been the worst at commenting lately and am going on spree. Because I have time!!! Yay!! Or sort of - procrastinating, you know. Anyway. xD

I think I preferred Dreams Are As Far - the first line really struck me. I love the way it looks; the way it rolls off my tongue and just is so perfect
