Save Her

*For a friend, whose mother is currently suffering from cancer.

I have not a worry
Compared to the young girl
Who deserves to have a mom
With her in this world

I hope He is listening
To us and all our prayers
And if He cannot help her
At least ease their despairs

I've never been so close
To disease as in this moment
And though it's not my family
I know they must be broken

So this will be my prayer
To God up in the sky
I hope he carries it with him
And lets his angels fly

"Lord, we may not know your ways
Perhaps this is for reason
But help her if you can, God
She needs you in this season

She has a children, family
Who have their wishes too
But I know their dreams hold her
In ways the same as you

Save her if you can, Lord,
This one deserving life
A server of your goodness
A mother and a wife

I know them not the most
But my prayers will never end
So please do them your justice
Save her, God. Amen."

We will stand united
A constant source of love
Praying hopes to you
Directly up above

So listen to our words
Of a pure kindhearted soul
Take her in your arms
And make all their hearts full

How did I not find this before now?!?!

This seriously gave me goosebumps. In the best way. :)

But, it was so sad and beseeching, yet still had hope running through it.

This part:
I hope He is listening
To us and all our prayers
And if He cannot help her
At least ease their despairs

And this one:
So this will be my prayer
To God up in the sky
I hope he carries it with him
And lets his angels fly

"Lord, we may not know your ways
Perhaps this is for reason
But help her if you can, God
She needs you in this season

She has a children, family
Who have their wishes too
But I know their dreams hold her
In ways the same as you

So, I pretty much loved the whole thing. But those were my favorite bits. :)

This gave me goosebumps. I'll pray for your friend's mom, also!

Thank you so much, guys!

I ended up sharing this with the friend, and she read it to her mom. While this was being written, she was really bad. They weren't sure she was going to live much longer. BUT. But -- she's still here today! And doing better, I believe. She has life ahead of her, which is wonderful.

Thank you!!
