Sleeping Beauty

I’ve been asleep for years upon end Subconsciously dreaming reality I lie in my spell, waiting to wake To my prince who will come for me I want to wake up, try to open my eyes But my mind is a prisoner, stuck in my head I can’t move my toes, I can’t stretch at all I can’t get up out of my prison, my bed I lie here in waiting, wondering to myself Where could my prince charming be? Is he battling monsters? Racing up mountains? When will he come and awaken me? My sleeping is keeping me, holding me back I want to be freed from this chamber of slumber Calendar pages are turning and falling The days of my nap are growing in number I often dream of the day he will come A day that I fervently wish But for now I keep sleeping and waiting Till I am freed by his kiss

LOVE this so much! If you had written this when Sleeping Beauty came out, it would have been a part of the movie. LOL!

Adoration. I love it being from Sleeping Beauty's POV.
