I wrote this with the Pride and Prejudice Dawn song in mind, so read this through a few times, then go listen to that song.
Oh, Dawn,
See how thy light of golden skyline glows
Oh Light, that over yon hill slowly grows.
Thy warming rays of softly claiming light
Pursue the swiftly fleeting mystery of night
Oh, Dawn,
See how the flowers unfold, the Sun to greet
While yet the shadows of the night retreat
Hear as birds join in the symphony of sight and sound
While always Dawn advances o’er the frozen ground
Oh, Dawn,
That lights the dew and plays upon the beaded grass;
Sunlight reaching fingers into pools of still, cold glass;
And leaves that fall into thy arms of gold are safely laid
And so the stars all disappear and slowly...sadly...fade
Oh, Dawn,
At first a flickering line of flame
Slowly, climbed black, blank hills and came
And brought the Sun with stretch and gaping yawn
For here, Oh World, has come the Dawn.

I would say "How Poetic" but that bit is, I think, obvious. I especially like the last few stanzas.
"Sunlight reaching fingers into pools of still, cold glass" --very beautiful word picture. I can almost smell the early morning air.
