The Nonsense Poet, 1-5

1.
You make a valentine of galaxies
The universe is your love letter
Though we’re stained and torn
You laid down your life for us, so insignificant
So we could be your bride—
Whiter than snow.

2.
And I’ll ride away on my Heart Air Balloon
Fly off to the sky
Away from the HeartbreakLands where now I dwell
And I will be the Queen of Hearts.
But I will miss the seashells,
And there are things I cannot forget…

3.
‘Twas a fine day at sea
When you sat by the waves
And you were so free
The moon made you feel brave
There were stars in your eyes
You kept climbing higher
But through your disguise
I saw the fire
Inside it was burning
Consuming your soul
How great is the yearning?
Do you feel not quite whole?

4.
I look at you through eyes of wonder
Fascination
And I wonder if
Wish that
Maybe, you feel the same
We two, we’re very different
Artsy vs. Scientific
But don’t opposites attract?
I can’t say much about it
For fear I’ll go too far
But you’ve got my interest spiked.
Sigh…
I think that I’m in like.

5.
Isn’t it funny
When you’re supposed to be in bed
And you turn on your flashlight
To finish that page of your book,
But pages turn into chapters, chapters to "The End"
And still you spend the rest of the night pretending a sequel
And fashioning your own stories till dawn?
Isn’t it funny how
for you, an AdventureSmith
One is easily a crowd?

I always get a little nervous when people use that word...

I liked it, although some of it I didn't quite understand.
Also, I just posted the Prologue of a story I wrote. It's finished, so I'll probably post around once a week. It's called The Tale of the Long Darkness.

The best stories are those that are focused, unassuming, and self-confident enough to trust the reader to figure things out. --

Well, some of it is just random... 1 is kind of an Easter poem, 2 is downright nonsense (I wrote it on a paper placemat at a restaurant), 3 was mostly nonsense too, though in some ways it's like a story without an ending, 4... well, to be honest, I'd rather leave 4 to speak for itself, and 5 is how I feel when I stay up all night reading.

Just be sure to check all the wardrobes.

Interesting in a good way. And enjoyable.

As Ezra said, interesting. I do like it though!

I like the third one... it makes me think of Eisley, except not as nonsense as Eisley, which is what I can't stand about Eisley, so therefore I like your poem...

And the last one sounds like me five years ago. :) I would read in bed at night, I remember switching the flashlight off and flopping down on top of my book when my parents came in to check on us.
I used to be really good at playin' 'possum...

I like it. I think 5 is my favorite. I like how they're all kind of... smooth. Like talking, but with a kind of tempo. Anyway, very good. ;)

1-is really really good! I like the "valentine of galaxies" thought, that was so cool!
2-Sounds like it could be funny...
3-Really does sound like there needs to be a story with it!
4-Is exactly how I feel! Except I'd say "I think I'm in love..." :0)
5-Adventuresmith! Really, really cool! I remember doing this too.

4: Well, considering I'm not even 14 yet, don't plan on dating, and am trying to forget my crush on this unnamed guy.... :)

Good for you on not dating, etc!
And yeah, I got that... :0)...just thought it was funny how it fit me and Justin perfectly!

I like it, but I honestly can't describe numbers three and four. It's good though, don't worry.

"True love is the greatest thing in the world - except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, when the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe." - Miracle Max, from The Princess Bride

"I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question." - Harun Yahya

Number 4...Anna, I totally know what you are going through:) No more will be said about that at this present time. Anyway, hilarious!!! I have no idea why I didn't comment sooner....it's probably because I've been REALLY busy lately.
