The bells are tolling,
but I do not hear their sound.
I am caught up in something
so much more profound.
I see women weeping
with men of solemn face,
but I do not feel as they do,
wrapped in arms of grace.
A whispered silence falls,
like the heads of those that bow,
but oh, if they could only see
the rejoicing around me now!
They would hear a mighty chorus
and the dazzling colors see.
Then they too would rejoice,
for death is only the beginning of eternity.

This is lovely. I loved the images and how it was composed. One thing I would do is take out the exclamation mark at the end of the last line. However, I have a pet peeve about exclamation marks in fiction/poetry when they are used outside of dialogue, so that's a personal decision. Great job!

Thanks Erin for the comment about the exclamation mark. I believe you are quite right about it and I have changed it. Thanks again!
