**So the other night, I couldn't get to sleep...and finally I picked up my little scripture passage-a-day book.  I forget what exactly the passage was, but the words "Abide in Me" stuck out at me...and then this "prosy sort of poem" just came out of my fingers...and I guess my heart too. :)**

Alone with my failings
Alone in the night
I felt my heart
Beating
The rhythm it pulsed was one of sadness
And it spoke a language of loneliness

Alone with my failings
Alone in the night
I reached with my heart....

Away with the Night

Something held her at the topmost stair,
another hand beside her own
and the ghostly wind through the night pulsed soft,
Was it music or did it moan?
She was drawn out toward the night
like a moth drawn to the light
To fly into the candle,
to fly into the flame,
is to be more than courage,
is to rise above shame
And the ellum awoke and shook themselves
and they wept for something that only they felt
And she nearly stepped out into the star-swirling dark

cold stone castle

Used to be I could see
into the sunset of my future
Everything smiling at me
and just crying "adventure!"
Somewhere between then and now
I caved to fear somehow
Next thing I know he has
stolen my hope from my hands
and I find my dreams
on the ground at my feet
in pieces

And now I'm locked up without even a view
captive, without a hope of finding you

Come find me tonight
I need you to fight for me
If you don't come, nobody will
and I'll be left all alone
in this cold stone castle

Hearts

I've been reading about hearts, our hearts. Like how deceitful they can be. I found very many interesting passages on our hearts, too.
