Christ's sacrifice for our hurting hearts

The Tale of One Who Lives

O, you weak and wretched man who sins,
Listen to this tale of One who lives;
A holy God who put off His crown,
Humbled Himself, to earth He came down.
In the form of a small babe He came,
A weak little thing, born in the hay.
Such a blessed thought; He came to save,
He healed the sick, the blind and the maimed.
Reached out to the lost, calmed raging seas,
Then died on the cross to ransom me.
He payed for my sins. Now I believe!
How can I show you the joy I feel
Since I learned that He broke the tomb's seal?

Broken Hearts

Broken
Wandering
Wounded
Hopeless
Unfeeling
we walk this world
Are we dead
or just
asleep?
Lonely footsteps
fall and
echo
across cold
hard
ground,
unheard.
Welcome to a
painful
empty
meaningless
existence.
But in the dark
He’s holding out
welcoming, healing, pitying hands
to our frosty, lonely, searching hearts.
