Abolish the IPCC

Submitted by Dan on Tue, 05/28/2013 - 17:12

Lord Monckton, who is a former science adviser for Maragaret Thatcher, said in 2010: “The IPCC… My policy for the future of that body is that it should be abolished.”
Why is Lord Monckton saying this? We will analyze this through two observations, but first, we need to define the IPCC and what it is. In the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s about page, it says:

Not One China: The Case to Allow Taiwan UN Membership

NOTE: This is supposed to be a speech! This was the case that my partner and I were running, until we found a large "hole" in it. Please tell me if this "1AC" has convinced you to vote for Taiwan Membership. I would also love feedback on anything you might find that weakens this case. (By the way, the greyed out words are supposed to be greyed out)

Entries in an Atheist's Journal

I have just come back from a journalistic tour in Iran. There, I interviewed a Christian pastor facing execution for his beliefs. I asked him why he would rather die than give up his faith in God, as well as leave his wife and children without him.

"Wouldn't it be better," I asked. "To give it up outwardly, and be reunited with the family that needs you, than to go to your death? What is the point? And why would you love a god so much, if he demanded you to do such a thing?"

Debating Evolution

Submitted by William Andrews on Sun, 06/26/2011 - 04:43

Hi everyone, here is a debate I had online via MSN Instant Messenger about 6 months ago with an evolutionist named Keith. The only modification to the debate has been to fix a few spelling errors.  I realise that a few spots will be hard to follow because of the way MSN is used, but most of it is easily followable. It kind of seems to start off in the middle of a discussion and the reason is because we had had a debate the previous day, and this debate was a continuation of it. Unfortunately I had not saved the first debate. So, here it is, enjoy and comment!
