Maybe Today

Maybe today we’ll run away   And be ourselves again   We’ll take a break from what we fake   Shed our skin and bare out souls   Let the sunshine cure and undermine   What keeps us pale and cold   Let our bellies ache from laughing   Laughter hard and real   We’ll be the people we once were   Hearts of flesh, that beat and feel   A flight, tonight, we'll soar away   Into the star lit sky   You and I will be again   And holding hands, we’ll fly

I can't begin to tell you how much your poetry is true and real! Each one makes me smile, and makes me think! I would comment on every one but I'm sure that'd get annoying! ;) Keep up the wondeful work! It would be cool if you could bind these and put them in a book. :D
