Me (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII)

Me, I

Her hair is naturally curly
An explosion, really
Bursting from her face
Widening its surface

Me, II

And she cannot
Cannot
Fall
Asleep unless the door handle is
Touching the wall
She doesn't know why she doesn't
Know why at all

Me, III

And she lives by the mantra
That she's not much of an animal
Person, really
She just likes who she likes
And sometimes isn't even inclined
To pet the newest members of their
Four-footed brigade

Me, IV

She
Dreams about dresses and boys
Has a list that she'd like
Is very grounded by nature but
Can go off and get riled
About things that don't affect her
And makes up stories in her head
Scenario after scenario
Of what would surely happen
If she met him

Me, V

She tries to be funny
And she loves when friends laugh
She takes things to heart and
Shuts down when they don't
Go well
Is the queen of
Feeling accomplished and
Is the type of person that
Doesn't clean off an annoying smudge of dirt
On their converse
Even if she
Has to look at it
Every day
And it drives her insane she just
Leaves it for later

Me, VI

She's an incessant worrier an
Obsessor and
Yearns for instant gratification
She's not good at waiting
She wants everything to happen for her
In succession
She cannot make a decision
Without the input of another
Although when adults don't acknowledge her she
Feels a tad disgruntled
And she cannot stay angry for
More than five minutes
That's the record

Me, VII

She's a singer at heart she
Writes silly things on her walls
The most secret in tiny, illegible letters
Only for her eyes
She tacks pictures up
That she can admire
Every night she
Writes her goals on a piece of paper
She
Yes, quite irresponsibly
Longs for a nose ring
And decides the repurcussions
Do not matter
She will be
Seventeen
And that's so crazy
Seventeen
And her schedule looks like it'll be jammed full
Spilling at the brim
And yet she still wants time for friends
And family
Seventeen

That's me.

Okay, so this is maybe totally vain and self-centered, but I decided to write a series of poems describing me. :P Kind of like an updated bio. So now: I would love to read yours and leave a comment! Please do your own--that would be so awesome! :) Hope to see one from you soon!

This is such a cool idea! I'll definitely do this--I haven't had any inspiration lately. Thanks! haha

These are great Homey, and I really enjoyed them! I love this idea a whole bunch, I'll have to try to put together one sometime? Maybe. :P
My favorite of all of these was probably IV, but probably because I used to do that as well. But I really liked how you started these, the introduction and just the way it was all put together.
LOVED!!!! And I can't wait to see other writer's versions :D

Write On!

I love these. They're so fresh and a new subject and lovely so well done. A favourite:
"Doesn't clean off an annoying smudge of dirt
On their converse"

Yeah me too. You have inspired me to write my own of these, which is good because I've been lacking inspiration lately :)
And this bit too:
"She
Dreams about dresses and boys"
"Although when adults don't acknowledge her she
Feels a tad disgruntled"
And the last repeat of "seventeen" is really good. I enjoyed this, thanks for posting!

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh

Oh, what a wonderful idea! I loved these, and I'll hopefully get around to doing my own at some point. Honestly, my favorite had to be 2. I get so particular about random things, and if said random thing is not as my brain says it should be, I can't do anything no matter how I try, and I end up going mildly insane. xD
