Wishes

Wishes -

Said by some to be foolish,
by others to be vain,
Yet I think
that wishes are like rain.
Refreshing, full of promise,
Not always what it seems,
And yet, these lofty dreams
Are often all we have to keep us

from drifting away.

Away to the place of dreary days,
to the land of Facts,
which so often swallows people -
people without wishes.

I think this is one of your best poems. It is so so good! I could highlight every line.

This is so cute--love your poems. Same as Megan, I could highlight EVERY line. :D
