Blind Love

Submitted by little woman on Sun, 01/27/2013 - 23:30

all too often
love is blind
so the proverb goes

blind to faults,
to lies, to cheats
or else
wishes not to know

yet also is love blind
to things in the world
surrounding
the world is still
and the lovers alone
they the only ones standing

love makes fools
of all alike
love is blind
they say

but do they not
also proclaim
that there is no
bliss such as ignorance?
